Most rail about stereotypes or generalizations, but are they allowed if they are possitive? If you say "Southern Hospitality" or "brilliant Greek architecture" or "flawless African diamonds" is it okay or taboo?

When i switch the tower on the monitor doesn't come on with it and then i have to keep switching the tower on and off until it comes on sometimes this is taking up to 10 minutes any ideas what has happened and how i can fix the problem

I'm 16 years old, and never had allergies before. I'm aware that they may show up later in life, but right now i'm just wondering if I can get some help or something.
My right eye's been itchy for 3 weeks and eyedrops didn't exactly work. But then the skin around my LEFT eye began to burn and turn red a week ago, at the end of the day having a dark ring under it.
Now the it's sorta okay, but the RIGHT eye is now starting to burn just like the left before. Except now there's excessive water coming out and I'm constantly sneezing at both home and school.
Can anybody help me out on what it is and if there's anything I can do to stop the burning at least?

has anyone here been to a boarding school? i'm going to one next year and i'm like really REALLY nervus...does anyone have anything good to say about so i'm not so freeked out? and maybe if u experienced some bad stuff you can tell me so i can try to avoid doing it or something....and can people give me tips on how to make lots of friends easly...i mean i have lots of friends at my old school, but i idk...i just want diffrent sorts of friends...

my cousin appears to be suffering from anorexia, desperately thin, she has been dragged to the docs by her mum and had some tests done which came back ok, so she says thats it, shes fine, she is quite clearly NOT fine. we are sure she weighs about 5 stone. what can we do? we are thinking of getting her mum to see the doc without her being there to discuss it.....what do you all think? we feel she is being left behind and until something really bad happens it will just carry on....

I was wondering what brands they have, please star the following brands if you have seen knockoff versions in NYC and/or Chinatown

Say you have a room, the dimensions are 20’ x 20’ x 20’. Inside of it you put an elephant and a mouse. You then seal the room, airtight. Which one would suffocate first? Assume that they mouse and elephant do not interact in any way, e.g. the elephant does not lie down and crush the mouse. They are also not expending too much energy, as in running around the enclosed space. Since the mouse has smaller lungs, will it die first, not being able to draw in as much oxygen as the elephant? Or will the elephant go first, since it requires much more oxygen than the mouse? Are there more factors here at work? Will they die at the same time? By the way, this is purely theoretical, I wish no harm to neither mice nor elephants.

My 6 year old daughter is always losing books. Books from the school library as well as the public library. She's very well behaved otherwise, but I'd like to remedy the problem. If I thought corporal punishment would help, then I might spank her--but I'm not convinced that it would do much good. I'm leaving that as a last resort. So I'm looking for some creative ideas that would be equally productive. Any quality parental thoughts?

I'm the moving party (respondent) in a child custody and visitation case. The petitioner has not filed a response or opposition to my petition not even so much as a fee waiver, she has not participated in the settlement conference. The courts have somehow managed to move this case into trial. I'm trying to figure out what is the judges options if the party doesn't show to this intial trial and the party has not filed anything in response?...... Keep in mind, that I realize and believe that this case should have went into default due to the lack of response but that did not take place....?

Historically speaking he is way off. He needs to review history books and not the ones Catholics wrote either. For over 250 years the Roman empire DESPISED Christianity and denied them most of the rights as citizens and tortured and killed a majority of them. Constantine only adapted the Christian faith for him and his army. He did not make the Christianity the official religion of the Roman empire. It wasn't until 3/4 a century later that the Romans decided they were going to make Christianity the Roman religion. Then they formualted their own version (Roman Catholicism) and stamped it as the correct religion for the world. The blantantly disregarded the fact that there had been Christian communities over 300 years before Rome decided to plot up THEIR CORRECT VIEWS OF THINGS. Historically speaking Roman Catholicism is far from the original Christianity the Apostles of the Bible preached and those that chose to stick with the Apostle teachings and not the Popes suffered greatly

I know that there must be 36 inches between the toilet and the wall it faces, but what if there is a door on that wall that swings into the bathroom? Must there be a certain clearance between the open door and toilet?
