I agree with Wonky fella, for once the Wilde man was talking absolute shite. Shallow people will only ever see their outer layer or what they want to.

Only the deep will know themselves as they are, and only the truly brave will dare to see themselves as others do..

I love the Big O, but a lot of times he was just spitting out words to fill the silence. Nobody knows themself.

To truly 'know' yourself, you have to know your weaknesses.

A shallow person would not look deep enough to see those weaknesses.

So, therefore, only deep thinkers actually 'know' themselves.
