I'm 16 years old, and never had allergies before. I'm aware that they may show up later in life, but right now i'm just wondering if I can get some help or something.
My right eye's been itchy for 3 weeks and eyedrops didn't exactly work. But then the skin around my LEFT eye began to burn and turn red a week ago, at the end of the day having a dark ring under it.
Now the it's sorta okay, but the RIGHT eye is now starting to burn just like the left before. Except now there's excessive water coming out and I'm constantly sneezing at both home and school.
Can anybody help me out on what it is and if there's anything I can do to stop the burning at least?

M.y right eyeball just became red. errr... pink, if you want to call it that.
I told my dad what happened, and he tells me to put on eyedrops (even though I try to explain to him that it doesn't work).

Strange that your dad will not take you to the doctor or ophthalmologist. Eyesight is precious. You could go to the site below and check out the symptoms in a search. Look up eye problems under:

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/healthtopics

See if there's a hint of what you might have, under the eye and symptoms category.

Good luck, and God bless.

It sounds like you are do everything that you can that's within your power. The swelling is going down so that's a good sign. You can't expect it to go down immediately, it takes time. Maybe you should keep taking the antihistamine and using the icepack until you can be able to see the doctor. You might need a prescription for an oral steroid or another type of anti-inflammatory. I have really bad allergies too! I hope this helps.

You've got allergies. Try some good eye drops for irritated eyes. You also will need to go to the doctor so they can put you on something to get this under control. For right now, go by Claritan. It really helps decrease symptoms of allergies.

pink eye? allergic reaction to meds (aspirin for example)? allergies to mold or pet dander found in your walls? Also it could be some kind of eye infection. if it lasts much longer, get it checked out. you don't wanna spread it either.

You need prescription eyedrops and an antihistamine (Sudafed is good). Go see your dr., and he'll put all of this mess to bed.
