I recently became a fan of Y!Answers, and introduced the site to a co-worker. Now he's obsessed. He constantly tries to come up with funny answers to people's questions. And then he shows me. And they're lame. And he thinks they are hilarious, so I laugh along out of politeness. But I can't take it much longer. He calls me... CALLS ME... to tell me about his latest bit of wisdom. What should I do?... I mean, he's a good friend, so I don't want to be rude, but this is ridiculous. HELP!!!

I am going to help a friend with the drive and she is putting me up in a hotel. I have enough for food, but not much else. What are some fun and free things to do there? We'll be there 2 or 3 days and I'll have my 10 year old daughter with me. Thanks!

Bush won't listen to the American people that voted out the rubberstamp congress. He won't listen to the Iraq Study Group that he commissioned. He won't listen to the GOP members of congress that see that his war plan has failed according to the Bush administration's own documentation.

He continues to amass troops on both sides of Iran in Iran and Afghanistan.

Bush tried to push America into his war in Iraq immediately after 9/11 despite the involvement of Saudi Arabia. We then learned from his cabinet members that he was planning his Iraq war at the very first cabinet meeting in January 2001. Cheney pulls out the Iraqi oilfield maps for his energy summit, then it's 9/11.

Today, the administration alluded to a vague terror threat to prepare the American public for a false flag operation.

How do you think the Bush cabal will pull off their terror plot to start the war in Iran they have been planning for years?

This is the design I have chosen for our wedding cake, it will be a pumkin spice cake with a caramel apple filling and cream cheese frosting under the fondant.

I was browsing through the questions in the horoscope section and there were questions like, "Which sign is the Sexiest Sign?"...or " Pisces: the ugliest signs?", "Scorpio women can't be trusted?", "Virgos: the least sexiest?". *sigh* it's so ridiculous. i've met plenty of good-looking pisces and my best friend is a scorpio and i trust her 100%. I saw somebody saying, All of the water signs aren't really sexy because they are too sensitive! it's so stupid & ignorant.

So, What do you think about all of this??? Why do you think people do this? To feel better about themselves?

Do people, anywhere in the world, have a right to enter the United States irrespective of our laws pertaining to immigration? Do people, anywhere in the world, have a right to enter the United States irrespective of our laws pertaining to immigration? Unless one wishes to obfuscate, there's a simple "yes" or "no" answer to that question. If a "yes" answer is given, then why should there be any immigration requirements, such as visas, passports and green cards, for anyone who wishes to visit or reside in our country? Why not abolish the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services?

If your answer is "no," one does not have a right to enter the U.S. irrespective of our laws, what does that make a person who does so? Most often we call a person whose behavior violates a law a criminal. If people commit criminal acts, should there be an effort to apprehend and punish them?

The United States is a nation of immigrants from all over the world. The resulting ethnic mosaic goes a long way toward explaining our greatness as a nation. Immigration has always been a blessing for us, and it still is. But yesteryear's immigration and today's differ in several important respects. For the most part, yesteryear's immigrants came here legally. Because there was no welfare state, we were guaranteed that they'd work as opposed to living off the rest of us. Furthermore, they sought to assimilate and adopt our culture and become Americans. That's not so true today, where Hispanic activists seek to impose their language and culture on the rest of us. At some public schools, they've raised the Mexico flag atop the U.S. flag. They've announced that they seek to take back parts of the U.S. that were formerly Mexico

Let me first say that I am no angel. I have done my share of selfish and cruel things in my marriage. But on the whole I really do try to be self-sacrificing to my wife, willing to change and available for her emotional needs whenever she calls. In the return I have received one anxiety after another. She is never satisfied with where we are (oh and there is a history of trying to improve), always anal about everything, I am always the first one to apologize or take blame in a fight before she even contemplates it. She can never just be humble about something without first stating that I am the cause. But she expects me to humble right away and to not be defensive about her behaviors. ....THERE is just so much history of ups and downs..... To me she has been so bi-polar like in our marriage with a lot on the depression side. She blames me for most of what goes on...... Can anyone relate to this?

To me, lobbying is just a euphemism for bribery. Why not have a set amount of money funded by taxpayers for campaigns? This way the disparity between the haves and have nots would not be so great. In addition, influence by corps would not be such a big factor come time when the candidates vote on legislation. Thus they will hopefully make decisions that are influenced by the people they represent and not those that made the largest contributions.
