Does anyone have any unique reception ideas I can use for my wedding in June, in Michigan and I want to do something or have something unique. Obviously the situation is unique.. and my bride is an amazing addition, now I am trying to think of something else I can add? Thanks!

Make it a themed Casino Night, where everyone can buy chips and have them donate the money to you guys. Set up poker tables and dice games and have all the servers be dressed up in Vegas Attire! It could be really fun because everyone will have something to do and you could have a Lounge act as a special performer! I would do it for my own wedding but my hubby to be is set on a mariachi band...dunno why....therefore it doesn't go over so well with casino lights and show girls!

Michigan has that big old lake right in the middle- you should do something water-related. How about having your reception on a party boat? It's really dun- it's a big boat, almost like a yacht, that you can rent for the whole night and you can have music and dancing and food and all right on this boat and have a beautiful view of the sunset! Call local marinas in your area.

There are many different unique things you can add
Rent a photo booth so guests can take pictures and add them to your guest book
set up a smore station with a little outdoor firplace so please can toast smores
have a lounge area with credenzas and tables so people can relax and hang out with out feeling like they are in someone elses seat
Hire a dance instructor to teach your guests dance moves
Have an ice sculpture drink luche (sp) to pour drinks down and chill them as they get you your glass
Have a cocktail hour of comfor foods, mini mac and cheese cups, mini cheesburgers, mini corn dogs
Hire a ice cream cart vedor (or if the space allows an ice crema truck) to come in during dancing to hand out ice cream to your guests.

Have her sit on a chair, that is covered by a white sheet in the middle of the room. Announce that you are going to remove her garter. Reach under her gown, and then under the chair where you have placed 3 extra items. First pull out a
helium balloon, and let it float to the ceiling, then pull out a
rubber chicken and toss it across the floor, lastly pull out a
giant pair of underpants and stretch them out for the audience to see......it's hilarious.(If she is on the heavy side,
you should think of something else on that last one)

Michigan, I remember that place....get a snow machine, in June, it will be a big hit, then surprise her with a fur cape (not real) they sell them at the bride shops.

i cant think of an exact idea, butyou can do it in the place you first met or had the first date or even the place you proposed to it would be a great memory later.
