I recently became a fan of Y!Answers, and introduced the site to a co-worker. Now he's obsessed. He constantly tries to come up with funny answers to people's questions. And then he shows me. And they're lame. And he thinks they are hilarious, so I laugh along out of politeness. But I can't take it much longer. He calls me... CALLS ME... to tell me about his latest bit of wisdom. What should I do?... I mean, he's a good friend, so I don't want to be rude, but this is ridiculous. HELP!!!

That is rough... We all have lame-O's that are around us...you know the ones...
They try to tell you a joke but forget how it goes...they try to be witty with things like "I told her!"...and they don't get that they're LAME. And you fake-laugh yourself to death.
I once worked with someone who gave me a play-by-play of EVERYTHING she ever said that she thought was funny. Sometimes when you're a funny person they just want to be funny too.
I would just laugh and maybe make fun of him in an indirect way...maybe show him a y answers about someone lame like him...maybe THIS one!! Then he think he's in on the joke, BUT....he IS the joke!!!

Serves you right for passing on an obsession! Here are a couple of suggestions to solve the problem:
1) Don't laugh at his lame jokes.
2) Find another job.
3) Change your phone number and don't list it.
4) Tell him he's driving you crazy with his jokes and please give serious answers to people who ask for help or request information.
5) Collect his answers and write a book titled "The World's Worst Jokes."
6) Do all of the above.

Ok...I know ya posted this on here cause ya knew I'd see it...It's ok that ya think I'm lame and all...I'll never call ya again......But did ya check out my answer to that losser in singles and dating........ Seriously??? Just put up with it..He'll get tired soon enough or get caller ID and/or screen your calls with an answering machine.
