Do people, anywhere in the world, have a right to enter the United States irrespective of our laws pertaining to immigration? Do people, anywhere in the world, have a right to enter the United States irrespective of our laws pertaining to immigration? Unless one wishes to obfuscate, there's a simple "yes" or "no" answer to that question. If a "yes" answer is given, then why should there be any immigration requirements, such as visas, passports and green cards, for anyone who wishes to visit or reside in our country? Why not abolish the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services?
If your answer is "no," one does not have a right to enter the U.S. irrespective of our laws, what does that make a person who does so? Most often we call a person whose behavior violates a law a criminal. If people commit criminal acts, should there be an effort to apprehend and punish them?
The United States is a nation of immigrants from all over the world. The resulting ethnic mosaic goes a long way toward explaining our greatness as a nation. Immigration has always been a blessing for us, and it still is. But yesteryear's immigration and today's differ in several important respects. For the most part, yesteryear's immigrants came here legally. Because there was no welfare state, we were guaranteed that they'd work as opposed to living off the rest of us. Furthermore, they sought to assimilate and adopt our culture and become Americans. That's not so true today, where Hispanic activists seek to impose their language and culture on the rest of us. At some public schools, they've raised the Mexico flag atop the U.S. flag. They've announced that they seek to take back parts of the U.S. that were formerly Mexico

No.
They're criminals.
Yes, apprehend and punish them. Method? Deportation with permanent revocation of their ability to apply for citizenship.
Anyone who follows the legal process will be welcomed now as those who have done it right have been in the past. Those who have tried to enter illegally will forever be disqualified from the process. Let that happen a few thousand times and I'll bet the numbers drop like a rock.
And of course we should enforce all current laws on the books and build that wall.

Anyone who enters another country or the US illegally is a criminal, plain and simple. Mexican illegals have proved they have no respect for the country that feeds hem, gives them health care, pays for ever kid they pop out, and many other benefits. If they love Mexico so much, they need to go home, flying their fly in the US is really beginning to make a lot of citizen's mad. They will NEVER take the US, as it is not there country, we bought and paid for it. But, it does not surprise me that they think it is there country, like they think all the free benefits , they are entitled too them, they are not. They are illegal criminals and have no right to protest anything, and the US citizens are getting tired of it, would not surprise me at all if all this turned into a civil war, which Americans will win. I also have no doubt that all them yes votes for that last dumb Amnesty bill, them people might be in the umemployment line when they come up for re election, which they need to be voted out. One must never underestimate the power of the US citizens, when we get our guts full of it, and the government want do nothing, watch what happens.

No, of course not. People can't just come as they please. We are a nation of laws and it is many of these laws that have helped make this country what it is. If we lose these laws we have nothing. We would no longer be a nation. Look at other countries that lack law, where law is continually corrupt, where the law can easily be broken and it is accepted as a normal part of life that following the law is not the lay of the land. Now compare those countries to America. Now take a look at the people that have come to America illegally. They came to America wanting to escape those countries that lack law and that can't sustain a decent life for their people because there is a lack of decent law. When they arrive here, they bring their lack of belief for the law with them. It's a disrepect to all Americans but does this matter to them. No, of course it doesn't. They as a people didn't have enough respect for themselves as a people. That's why they cowardly and disgracefully flee their own countries. Why would they have respect for people that aren't their people? They wouldn't and don't. They don't know what it's like to be loyal to a great nation. What they have now that they are here illegally is the lack of respect for law that they brought with them and a nation that is set up to be abused by them. These are not Americans and chances are they never will be. So again, of course not, people shouldn't be able to come as they please.

No they do not. Not in ours or any other country.
We are not a nation of immigrants. We are a nation of citizens. We are not from all over the world. We are from here. Out of all the people who ever lived in the USA 14% of legal immigrants helped build our country and 84% of CITIZENS built the rest. That leaves 1% of illegals.

Absolutely not. It's a privilege to live where you want, not a right. If I sneak across another nation's borders and attempt to live there as a citizen without having gone through the proper procedures, I would expect a harsh punishment if discovered. After all, I would have broken their laws and be subject to their legal system.
If I didn't like it, perhaps I shouldn't have moved there.
