I think all of us know how hard it is. It's happens to all of us. You do have to move on though. I guess they should tell you how to move on. It's going to hurt.. you'll probably cry. You'll want to call her all the time.. and when she doesn't answer it's going to hurt more. You might be tempted to email her, text her good night... YOU WILL GET ON HER NERVES if you do this. Every time you want to call her... go hang out with your family or friends... PLAN to do things.. KEEP busy... It's hard as a girl but I know it's hard for a guy cuz it's not like you can cry to your boys... but maybe tell your mom or sister OR someone. People always want what they can't have.
Why did she leave you? Of course, you're going to miss her.. all the good things about her. You'll date and it's not going to be the same. BUT DO DATE. MAKE friends, once you get back into the swing of things don't just GET ANY GIRLFRIEND... DON'T act like like your on the rebound... ALTHOUGH you WILL BE. Just tell all the girls that you are just going out and out to make friends.
When she calls you say hi and tell her that you're leaving somewhere.. or that you are busy. BE STRONG.. IT's SO HARD!!!! Get rid of the things that remind you of her.. don't tell her just do it. I can't stress how important it is to keep busy.. go to the gym, go out... not necessarily to meet new girls but just to get out and get your mind off of her. HANG IN THERE.

It is easier for people to say move on but being in relationship is like having someone die. When relationships die, we have to morn. Morn the loss and feel the hurt eat a whole gallon of Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla ice cream(works for me) and then begin the healing process. One thing I do advise you not to do is to go into another relationship right now because that will not help you and it definitely won't help the next girl. Take time and morn. Then begin living your life to the fullest. Take care.

Yes they do. You are not going thru anything that everyone else hasn't already gone thru. Some people want to feel sorry for themself, with hopes that they can control the girl and make her feel bad because you are not together. After a while your friends will get tired of you complaining about it and will not be around. You have seen it many times so, move on and go have fun.

Maybe they can say to you move on it's because they have experience the same thing, the hurt, crying, cant sleep and etc. you get my drift. So when you think about they don't realize it's hard, believe this i have felt your pain, but you have to except it, and..... GET OVER IT.

Because people can always give advice, even if they've been in the same spot..
Everyone's got an opinion and their own two cents..try to ignore them and try not to let people know what you're going through. Not everyone is so sensitive as you know, they prolly mean well, if they don't well screw them..goodluck.

Yes, it's hard, but it has to be done. Go to a strip club... get a lap dance. Get other chicks on your mind so that it'll be easier to forget her. DO NOT talk to any other chicks about your ex. It'll take some time, but you'll find yourself thinking of her less and less.

Same way that you can't really understand the pain of losing someone until it happens to you, maybe they haven't experienced that. They are also trying to help you feel better and encouraging you to not dwell on it and become depressed or give up on finding someone new.

They most likely know it is hard and have been there before themselves. It may be they are not sure what to say and this covers the awkward moments.
