Think it might be time for the two of you to go your separate ways? Been wondering if your relationship is going to blossom or bomb? I've been there and done that. Me and my ex decided to go on our separate ways due to some conflicts on our schedules since we're both living on a different continent and the fact that we are both busy on our jobs. How about you guys?

Ok, is this normal.

I hate being close to people. I don't like having close relationships. The closest relationships I have is with my dogs, And my 1 and only parent and sibling. I talk to my dog the most of the three. The sad part is, I talked to my one parent more when she was gone on vacation on the phone than when she is actually like 2 rooms away. I hate when people try to talk to me, I mean it's okay at first, but then when they want to be my friend, I just tell them with my body expressions and my demeanor that I dont' want that. I get extremely reserved when someone wants to be friends with me. It's like it takes alot of work if someone wants to be my friend, they have to keep trying and then I push them away, and then they come back and finally they get in. But that takes more than like 4 months to do. So it really hasn't happened. I can't believe I'm not even close with my family, but I like it that way sometimes. I like not being close and connected with people..Normal?

My son will eat most things but will sometimes leave some of the vegetables he doesn't like. My husband will force him to eat these and often this will result in a battle of wills and a generally miserable time by all. I think my son should be able to refuse food he doesn't want as long as he has made a good effort with the rest of the dinner. What do you think?

As an emergency medical technician , you are called to the home of a 13-week old boy who has become listless and is having trouble breathing. The parents tell you that he used to smile a lot but has not smiled lately. They said he has not show any noticeable facial expressions in the last 2 days. You notice the boy's eyes open but do not seem to be focusing. You place your outstretched fingers under his finger and he fails to grasps it. You lift his foot and it drops back to the mattress. According to the parents, he has not had any bowel movement in 3-4 days?

What is your suspicions based on what you have observed?

Based on this suspicions, do you start treatment at the patient's home, or should you transport him immediately to the local hospital?

What should be administered to the patient at the earliest opportunity?

How do babies acquire this condition?

Confirmation of the diagnosis will most likely be at state laboratories, guided by the CDCP, not at the local hospital lab Why?

I LAUGHED UNTIL I CRIED>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>If you have raised kids (or been one), and gone through the pet syndrome, including toilet flush burials for dead goldfish, the story below will have you laughing out loud!

Just after dinner one night, my son came up to tell me
there was "something wrong" with one of the two lizards he holds prisoner in his room.

"He's just lying there looking sick," he told me. "I'm
serious, Dad . Can you help?"

I put my best lizard-healer expression on my face and
followed him into his bedroom. One of the little lizards was
indeed lying on his back, looking stressed. I immediately knew what to do.

"Honey," I called, "come look at the lizard!"

"Oh, my gosh!" my wife exclaimed. "She's having babies."

"What?" my son demanded. "But their names are Bert and Ernie, Mom!"

I was equally outraged.

"Hey, how can that be? I thought we said we didn't want
them to reproduce," I said accusingly to my wife.

"Well, what do you want me to do, post a sign in their
cage?" she inquired (I think she actually said this
sarcastically!).

"No, but you were supposed to get two boys!" I reminded
her, (in my most loving, calm, sweet voice, while gritting my teeth).

"Yeah, Bert and Ernie!" my son agreed.

"Well, it's just a little hard to tell on some guys, you
know," she informed me (Again with the sarcasm!).

By now the rest of the family had gathered to see what was
going on. I shrugged, deciding to make the best of it.

"Kids, this is going to be a wondrous experience," I
announced. "We're about to witness the miracle of birth."

"Oh, gross!" they shrieked.

"Well, isn't THAT just great? What are we going to do with a litter of tiny little lizard babies?" my wife wanted to know.

We peered at the patient. After much struggling, what
looked like a tiny foot would appear briefly, vanishing a scant second later.

"We don't appear to be making much progress," I noted.
"It's breech," my wife whispered, horrified.

"Do something, Dad !" my son urged.

"Okay, okay." Squeamishly, I reached in and grabbed the
foot when it next appeared, giving it a gentle tug. It
disappeared. I tried several more times with the same results.

"Should I call 911?" my eldest daughter wanted to know.
"Maybe they could talk us through the trauma." (You see a pattern here with the females in my house?)

"Let's get Ernie to the vet," I said grimly. We drove to
the vet with my son holding the cage in his lap. "Breathe, Ernie, breathe," he urged.

"I don't think lizards do Lamaze," his mother noted to him. (Women can be so cruel to their own young. I mean what she does to me is one thing, but this boy is of her womb, for God's sake.).

The vet took Ernie back to the examining room and peered at the little animal through a magnifying glass.

"What do you think, Doc, a C-section?" I suggested
scientifically.

"Oh, very interesting," he murmured. "Mr. and Mrs.
Cameron, may I speak to you privately for a moment?"

I gulped, nodding for my son to step outside.

"Is Ernie going to be okay?" my wife asked.

"Oh, perfectly," the vet assured us. "This lizard is not
in labor. In fact, that isn't EVER going to happen . . . Ernie is a boy. You see, Ernie is a young male. And occasionally, as they come into maturity, like most male species, they um . . . um . . . masturbate. Just the way he did, lying on his back." He blushed, glancing at my wife.

We were silent, absorbing this.

"So, Ernie's just . . just . . excited," my wife
offered.

"Exactly," the vet replied, relieved that we understood.

More silence. Then my vicious, cruel wife started to
giggle. And giggle. And then even laugh loudly.

"What's so funny?" I demanded, knowing, but not believing that the woman I married would commit the upcoming affront to my flawless manliness.

Tears were now running down her face. "It's just . . .
that . . I'm picturing you pulling on its . . . its . . . teeny
little . . ." She gasped for more air to bellow in laughter once more.

"That's enough," I warned. We thanked the vet and
hurriedly bundled the lizard and our son back into the car. He was glad everything was going to be okay.

"I know Ernie's really thankful for what you did, Dad ," he
told me.

"Oh, you have NO idea," my wife agreed, collapsing with
laughter.

Two lizards: $140.

One cage: $50.

Trip to the vet: $30.

Memory of your husband pulling on a lizard's winkie:
Priceless!

Moral of the story: Pay attention in biology class.
Lizards lay eggs!!!

In the morning I have severe hyperarousal and usually end up screaming until I can force myself to focus. Then later when I finally feel awake hypoarousal starts. And it's like an endless cycle. My therapist says that unfortunately due to your severe PTSD this is the flip side of all that locked in trauma. Easy for him to say because he doesn't have to deal with it?

There's a lot of transition going on. The PTSD, finding a new job, being able to pay the rent, not having the new job yet to move to. I've been in EMDR treatment for almost three months now. So I know it's important to keep going with it. But also it would be nice to have some sense of balance too? Hope this hasn't been too graphic. Thanks.

For the demand function p=40-(5x^2), when graphing it with the settings (1.62 >= x >= 1.65) and (43.5 >= y >= 43.6), is this setting appropiate to the context of the problem dealing with the maximum point of the revenue function than graphing p=40-(5x^2) with points (0,40) and ((sqrt8),0)? Does it change the price?

I was thinking it is NOT appropiate, but I cannot explain why. If possible if someone can explain to me more easily why the answer is the way it is. Thanks for helping me out, im not sure if im getting this maximization revenue thingy.

My mother came here as an illegal immigrant (Don't hate, please.) She is now under the protection of TPS. I was born shortly after, meaning I am a legal U.S citizen. I am not of age to ask for my parent's residency, yet. My grandma, whom I have never met, had suffered a stroke some years ago, she survived but is paralyzed and not well-cared for in my parent's country (Honduras, Central America). My mother has older sisters living here but none willing to help. I know there has to be some manner of legalizing my mother temporaralily so that she may visit and properly care for my grandmother for at least a month without the risk of her not coming back. If that is not an option how about some beneficial companies or hospitals willing to bring my grandma here and supply here with adequete mediacal care. Please explain my mothers rights and how we can make my grandmother's condition work to my advantage, remember I'm young so explain in laymen's terms but I'm not stupid either.
