..said that my parents must abide by the law that I be in a booster seat. I went in for a physical and stand 53'' tall and weigh 65 pounds and am very healthy.
Being that I am good and healthy and wouldn't get hurt, do I even need to be in a booster seat afterall? I will go tell my parents to throw it away because ALL my friends are out of one, and my 8 yr old friend is even out of one. Already! "come on!"

i have a real problem with people speaking different languages in the us. i think that if you come here you should speak the language. if you are in you own home then it is ok. but when you are in public and speaking a totaly differnt language i think it is rude. if i went to a new country i would try my best to fit in, and learn some of there culture. and i would try to speak there language as much as possible.

what do you think?

maybe i am wrong, but this is just the way i feel.

I know some people who believe with a pasion that aliens do not exist. Why would somebody believe such a thing? I have heard defences like "there's no proof they exist so they must not" This may be the most rediculas thing I have heard. Any person who has ever taken a science class knows that you can't prove a negative!

I have also heard people say that aliens don't exist because earth is the only one of the 9 (now 8) planets that has life. How do we know this? we haven't been to the other 7. Even assuming that they don't have life, what about all the other billions of stars? and the trillions of other galaxies? And what about the moons in our system like Europa? Scientists believe there might be life there.

Why do people use such stupid arguments? Why would somebody base such a strong belief on so little? Why wouldn't they do their homework before making up their minds on something like this?

This is just an example. People do this same thing with many other things as well. Why?

We're having a little boy, due November 7, and we're really excited, but can't seem to agree on a name.

I like the name Caden, but I am afraid it's too trendy right now, and I don't like names that have tons alternate spellings (e.g. Caiden, Cayden, Kayden, Kaeden, Kaden, etc.). I always want to use the traditonal spelling of a name.

I like the name Mason, but my hubby doesn't care for it. He like the name Calvin, but I think the inevidible nickname "Cal" makes for a mouthful of C's when you say it with our last name (Cal Capner)

We'd love your opinions and ideas for other names that sound good our with name.

TIPS about our naming style: We're NOT set on having his name start with a "C" or a "K"--in fact I'm not sure I like the alliteration of using them together, though it works with some names (e.g. Caden, Carson). We like some classic names (Henry, Oliver, Jack, Josh, none of which we can use b/c of family ties), and we like more modern choices too (Mason, Caden).

I'm just curious :) I've got a chronic illness, and I've noticed that when it gets bad it's hard to feel much - emotionally, I mean. I quit caring about boys and sex completely, but I also can't hold on to things like anger, and that's nice. I think maybe all I can still feel is low-level love for friends and family. A nice thing to be left with, I guess :]

Do any of you feeled "dulled" like this when you're in pain? Anyone up for sharing?

How to draw a line in being open to our spouse and to what degree should we allow our spouse to have? Like if he has secrets of his friend, is it wrong to share with spouse?Is it wrong to allow spouse to know them? im always mad and when im not the littlest things can set me off. whenever someone makes me mad i flip out and become very verbally abusive and sometimes physically abusive to whoever is closet to me at the time. i flip out on my family and friends all the time and i end up threatening to kill them. im sick and tired of being angry all the time and not being able to enjoy things without wanting to stab someone in the throat. i dont have mental issues though its just i cant control my anger. is there any kind of help i can get?

I rent an apartment in Scottsdale AZ. The complex is presently working on replacing tiles etc on the roof!! (btw its 112 degrees during the day.) We are now on our 5 th day with no tiles on the roof. As we are upstairs you can imagine that the a/c is running constantly and rarely goes below 80 . we were not told of this work taking place..Should i be able to get some compensation for my electric bill. Its already ridiculously high, thats the price of living in the desert..But how much of this is due to having the tiles off the roof? Can anyone help, or is there someone i should get in touch with,,thanx in advance

i'm looking for the name of a certain type of cloth - usually with very bright flowers and it's waterproof, almost plastic-y feel to it. it is often used for placemats or table cloths but sometimes tote bags. it is sometimes even sold just as cloth. it usually has loud colored, bright flowers on it or else stripes or plaid or something. does anyone know what i'm talking about? please help!
