why does adderall make my pupils dilated?

ok, I obviously know that it makes peoples pupils dilate- I want to know WHY. thanks

Because it is a amphetamine that elevates the heart and therefore dilates all blood vessels. It shows your dialed pupils because it is natural to do so. It also increases certain brain functions that have other effects as well.

Adderall is generally prescribed for ADD, although may doctors will give it to you if you say you have this condition, even if you don't. The positive effects are elated sensations and the adverse effects are to stop taking the drug.

On best side effect is trying to get a job. Other than that, if you do not over do your prescribed dose, I do not believe it has a negative impact. It will make your pupils dialeted, but in the dose that you physician prescribed is not a negative factor.

Adderall (amphetamine) is a CNS Stimulant. Stimulants generally act on the sympathetic nervous system (the fight or flight reactions). Pupil dilation is controlled by the sympathetic NS.
