I have a BA in Literature (been out of college 3 yrs now) and have roughly one year of experience as a staff writer at a daily newspaper.
I love my job, but journalism doesn't pay the bills and I have seen some great opportunities in the newspaper lately.
I know that I have what it takes (I could write better press releases than the one's I have been seeing).
Any tips on how to get my foot in the door (not looking for marketing/advertising...thinking more like a small organization, govt, museum, etc).

While thousands beg J.K. Rowling to save the boy wizard in the last book in the series, I say kill him off. It would serve as a wonderful opportunity for children to learn about death and dying in a safe, fictional environment.

Besides, Harry's a tool anyway.

I need padded leather uppers in something like Converse Chucks. Can't seem to find them, only modified mids that don't give any ankle support. Converse only seems to offer " fashion " canvas CTs. Help?

Who ever said that ricers can't beat a V8, is so lost in wasting gas!!! I have a 92 Honda Civic 4 Cyl. With turbo that smokes Corvetts z06 all day, and my civic is a everyday driver!!
You have to look at Horse Power and weight ratio....my civic is putting to the wheel 480hp, 11:36 @123 quater mile........REMEBER EVERYDAY DRIVER

See I have a job offering to babysit two kids. Ones' 3 and is a girl, and ones' 6 and is a boy. I've never babysat before, but I really need the money and I love taking care of kids. But since I've never done it, I don't know what to charge, Well I read this site that said ur supposed to charge 6 dollars an hour + .50 per each additional child. What do you think?

I only got 4th place out of six people in the judo tourny i went to.
I won my first,
lost my second,
won my third,
lost my fourth on injury.
But... the person i fought fourth was the guy who i beat in my first match... and he finished ahead of me. its not fair. should i have gotten third?

I'm at the point in my life where I'm thinking it's time to get married. I've had many girlfriends, a few I would have considered... but it just wasn't right.

In the last year I have date a LOT of women, but surprisingly haven't found 1 that was even serious girlfriend material let alone wife material.

So I'd like to know from all the HAPPILY married people out there, where did you meet your spouse?
