lust is mainly sex with someone you hardly know. or you think you are in love and you don't know the person.
love is when you truly know the person and it is felt deep down inside you. you want to spend your life with them. do things for them and just be there for them. everyday, day in and day out. with all their faults, bad habit, the time when they first get up in the morning. no matter the situation you love them. love is unconditional, patient and forever.

Lust makes your loins tingle.
Love makes your tummy tingle!
Seriously, I think that most body language is geared towards displaying lust rather than love. Things like gazing in the eyes and picking dust of your clothes could be signs of either, but are more likely lustful.
My mum always said that you'd "just know" when it was love, and (damn her!) she's always right!
But more useful, I guess love is things like when he holds your hair back while you're being sick and can still look you in the eye the next day; or when he farts in front of you and you don't mind that much. It's more to do with feeling the same for someone, even after you've seen all their flaws, weaknesses, and gross-ness. That you can see their whole being and accept and embrace it all.
Love can take a long time to grow but you'll know what it is when it blossoms.

Love- The things that come out of the other persons mouth are all only positive, uplifting things.
Lust-The things that you expect to hear but do not hear from the other person, instead negative vibes, thoughts and speech, focus on physical attraction rather than personality. Neither body language nor speech alone will tell you anything. Its a combination of the two.

Their whole romance doesn't make sense to me. They meet and then suddenly they are completely in love. Silly people. I think you're right about it just being lust and infatuation. I think that Edward may show signs of being in love with Bella when he leaves her because he'd rather live forever without her than cause her pain. But Bella is a little whiny and I think she's too selfish to love anyone other than herself.

I don't want to seem cheesy, but I'd say lust occurs when the first thing you notice about them is something sexual. However, LOVE (which develops over time, not "at first sight") occurs when you feel a genuine connection with a person, as in, you share interests with them, they make you laugh, you enjoy their personality, you care about their personal well-being, and, of course, you should be able to find them physically/sexually appealing on top of that.

When you are in trouble - who is at your back waiting to help you? Thats love. When something brilliant happens e.g. a promotion at work - who is there to crack open the bottle of champagne? Thats love. When life's a drag and a grind and its just one day to the next - who is there helping to pull you through it. Thats love. Lust doesn't fight for you, root for you, and stick it out for you.

starts with lust grows into love ... when you stop being blind, when he stops being "the most wonderful man in the world" but you love him anyway, more than anyone else ...
