i just got it and started using it 2 days ago every night before bed. is it good?? suggestions? does it really work? does your skin really dry out? thanks!

This is really good stuff. I was prescribed to it about one to one and a half years ago. It works great for me. I also use duac with it. I use Differin in the Morning and Duac at night so I constantly have acne cream on. It hasn't dried my skin out but I was also prescribed a different acne medication a month or two ago and it is amazing. It is tretinoin and you put it on at night and just let it sit while you sleep. It can clear my acne up in about a day if I spot it early, and two if it has already come out. I would recommend it to you over differin but that is just my preference. Hope i helped!

Differin is an 'unclogging' acne medication. It unclogs your pores and get rid of all the gunk. My sister uses Differin and so do I. I use Differin and Duac both at nighttime. No drying or anything. If I get a zit (which is rare since using both meds) it doesnt take weeks to go away, it takes a day or two. I have really oily skin so it didnt dry me out at all.
Some suggestions: Wash your face with a gentle cleanser at night .. pat dry and then put the Differin on. But do this 1 hour before you go to bed. That way it all soaks into your skin before your head hits the pillow. Dont touch your face either :]
In the morning when you wake up .. wash your face again with a gentle cleanser .. then put a moisturizer on. This will help your face from drying out. Just make sure both the Moisturizer and Cleanser are "non-comedogenic" .. which means it wont clog your pores.

I use it every night before bed. It works well. It just dries out your skin a little and you should use sunscreen when you go out in the sun if you are using Differin.

Check for the ingredients like salycylic acid(BHA),or Benzoyl peroxide ,triclosan etc that are tried and tested acne-fighters.
