Category 1 -- Presidential Pardons

The vast majority of Americans disagree with the obviously-politically-motivated commutation of Scooter Libby’s jail sentence, and properly regard it as a mockery of our criminal justice system.

Well, it may be too late to undo this miscarriage of justice in Libby’s case – but WE the PEOPLE **have** the power to prevent it from happening in the future!

Recognizing the fact that almost ALL Presidential pardons and commutations are politically-driven (which is why they are granted, in all but a very few cases, when a President is **leaving** the White House, and thereby can’t feel the sting of the people’s backlash), WE need to DEMAND Congress to introduce, pass, and put to the states for ratification a **Constitutional Amendment** that RESCINDS Presidential authority to grant pardons and commutations, with the sole exceptions of death penalties.

to my question. It wasn't my intention and perhaps I should've worded it better. The reason I singled out Christians is because based on my observation on this board, "some" Christians seem to be the one who spout of at the mouth about "the truth" and try to cram it down other people's throat as if everyone should just shut up and accept it, but yet when atheist or other religion begs to differ, they lash out with insults much like the one I got on my first question.

And no, this is not a new phenomena for me (as one poster suggested). I didn't claim it was. I'm 17 and was raised a Christian (now an atheist) so I know that this kind of thing happens and it has happened to me on numerous occasions in our church.

All I was trying to convey is that "your truth" may not be the same as "my truth" and to please refrain from judging others because they don't believe in the same thing as you do.

My ex fiances wife contacted me a few weeks ago and now I am very worried. About 7 years ago, I went through all legal avenues to have him sign off his parental rights. I am concerned for the fact that my ex and his wife now have a child together that is almost 3. Wifw has expressed to me that she would like for their child and mine to get to know each other and I have told her that this isnt going to happen until my child is 18(she is almost 10). I was wandering, even though he signed off his rights, can they take us to court to get rights for the children to visit with each other.
Also, I am concerned that his parents may now try to get visitation rights to my child after not having contact with her for almost 10 years. Can they?
. We asked my ex to sign off his rights for 3 reasons, 1 because we wanted my child to have my married name, 2 he stopped paying child support when he found out I was getting married, and 3 he NEVER signed her birth cert. or asked for visitation rights.

Naturally, there is little need for most of us to ever slaughter a rare game animal or endangered species, I mainly speak of the everyday pestilences we face from flies, ants, spiders, roaches, etc.

Plus, if a rabid cat was hissing and advancing toward you, and there was no viable escape, but you had a baseball bat, would you try and negotioate with the cat? Or would you grab the bat and think about PETA later? I'm just curious.

Final query, optional: Why do some people but the rights of insects and animals over humans? I don't think either of us trumps the other...but they have their environment and we have ours. Sorry, I don't find a brown recluse spider cute and cuddly and a candidate to just run about my home unchecked.

Doesnt abolute righteousness mean no sin?...Isnt all sin bad?
I have asked questions about Allah being able to judge by degree...If Allah sees a sinful man and sees more good than bad isn't he calling sin okay? If Allah says this sin is less that the other sin isn't Allah making a degree judgement that partly good is okay? If something is partly good isnt that in reality bad? If your sandwich had rotten in it isnt the whole sandwich thrown away? The God that exisited before Muhamamd definitely said all sin is bad he did not agreewith sin and judged all men as falling short of his righteouness if a man was partly good he was indeed bad. the wages of sin is death according to the God that was before Muhamamd.. It is the reason man needed God's atonement all had snned and fallen short of the glory of God. If your dress was stained it was no good it was not kind of good... if your meat was starting to rot then it was bad meat not somewhat good.

I mean our universe is enormous, and i doubt that there
are no aliens out there. So maybe Jesus is planing on
descending to all other planets for the second time where there might be alien christians awaiting for his arrival. Maybe
earth is last on his list. So whatever his waiting for he must

I'm 17 so I can't get a credit card and I don't want to go to my parents. I've read up on this and I feel it would make a DRASTIC change in my life. And I don't want to go to a doctor. Where's the best place to buy this medicine online? A place where I won't order Lexapro, and you know, end up with rat poison or something...

Also, has anyone here taken it before or known someone who has? What were the effects....

Hello! I'm a first time home buyer. I just went through a home inspection and walked through with the inspector. We found a few major things and I have some questions about that.

Well, we found that these people don't have a carbon monoxide detector and their smoke alarm is kind of messed up.

Also-the furnace doesn't light automatically. The sellers have had to manually light it with a match when they want to use it.

Finally, the garage door closes and opens well, but sometimes has a minor pausing problem.

I know that not every home is perfect, but I love this place and I'm afraid that the sellers won't agree to fix anything or give me a credit for anything and then this stuff to fix will cost so much that I wont' be able to afford it, or worse, my wife will turned off by this home!

From your experience, do the sellers normally pay for these fixes. These sellers are stubborn so it worries me!

I'd talk to my attorney but he takes a while to call back!

my boyfriend was the first to ask me out when he found out that i liked him. he said he liked me too. but only a couple weeks later my friends (7 out of 10 of them said this) that my bf was taking advantage of me and only wanted me for my body. i trust them very much and i believed them when they said this. but when i asked him he said that they were wrong and that he wasn't only with me because of that. he said that he did think i was hot but that wasn't the only reason. i trusted him but the rumors still bothered me. i got them more and more and then he started ignoring me but whenever we were together, he was all sweet and treated me like i was the last girl in the world. i broke up with him cuz i didn't know what to believe anymore. well it's been a month since that happened and i always find myself thinking of him and every song reminds me of him. i don't want to get back together because i know i will get hurt again and he played me but i still love him. what should i do?

I need a word that flows well with this statement: The "(blank)" King". I want it to mean somthing like the king that hasn't been recognized as a great, or hasn't been declared king yet.
