I need a word that flows well with this statement: The "(blank)" King". I want it to mean somthing like the king that hasn't been recognized as a great, or hasn't been declared king yet. A word starting with "Un..." (i.e. UNdeclared) would be best, but any and all answers are accepted. Thanks in advance!

My first thought was
unacknowledged............
but there are other good choices:
tacit
unvoiced
unspoken
unproclaimed

I get the idea that this future king has been the power behind the throne, and is about to finally become recognized as the legal ruler. ???????????

Here are some good ones.

Destined, coming, soon-to-be, future, ordained, foreordained

Foreordained is probably the closest to the sense you want. It's meaning is close to pre-determined.

"Undiscovered, undisclosed, unknown".

Also, possibly, "ipso facto" - means really is, but without the title (refers to a lot of things other than being a king too).
