if someone had a scuffle witha pregnant woman...he strikes her but cause no harm but she presses charges but she doesnt show up to court or anything can he still get charged? this is his second assault charge.....last one was in 2002 and was a misdemeanor and thats the only one he has. what do you think he will get charged with? jail time? or probation? witness (pregnant woman) is not willing to follow through with charges . she refuses to testify against him. there wasnt no serious damage done to victim. she had been stroke once on the arm. she refused medical care. he is scared because he didnt mean it. he ask me to post this . i would appreciate it if i got some answers. also state hasnt really filed charges yet. his pretrial officer told him the state hasnt found out what to charge him with. are they having a hard time putting a case together against him. the defendant is my brother.

My b/f and I are definitely in love, but he has such high hopes, and I'm worried that it can't possibly last forever b/c of our views. He's catholic, i'm atheist, he hates homosexuality, I could care less, and love everyone, he's pro war, im anti-war, and we have different views on women's roles in society and in relationships. This barely scratches the surface, but for example: he HATES that a girl in a relationship would have guy friends, while I say what's the big deal? If you trust your girl then it shouldn't be a problem. I know i'm in love with him, and when none of these topics come up, we're great. But he really thinks we could be married one day, and I can't picture myself forever being with someone, led alone even ATTEMPTING to raise a child with someone when all of our major beliefs that make us who we are counter one another...has anyone made a relationship work under similar circumstances?

I am looking to make an online encyclopedia for a group of friends of mine. We are writers and there are some facts and history that we are always asking about. This would make our lives easier if we had somewhere to just go look it up ourselves.

I need to make it easy to search and I would like to have it where anyone can add to it, maybe with a password or such. Does anyone know of a link to a tutorial or something that would help me in my research on how to do this?

I have friends that say two different things. How does it apply in Florida law - If I make a large payment towards the principal of my trailer, which was sold to me as a privately finaced deal from the seller, will it lower the monthly payment of the mortgage (since the principal is then lowered) , or will it just shorten the time to pay the loan of the remaining balance, reducing interest and not affecting the monthly payment amount ?

I want to sell my house next year. I bought it from someone who did nothing to improve the home or property while she lived there, so I made a lot of improvements to it in a short period. I put in new flooring throughout the house, bought a new boiler, put in new blinds, touched up the exterior paint job, and improved the landscaping. I've only lived here a year and a half, and the improvements totaled over $20000, so there will be a jump in my asking price. For potential buyers who see this price jump in the selling history, will they understand (or be told by the realtor) why the cost of this house went up between the time I bought it from the past owner and now? Are these improvements the type that will be noticed? My biggest concern is that I put all this money into improving the property and I could somehow lose money, because the potential buyers won't like/understand how the price increased in such a short period.

i know if you dont eat your body goes into starvation mode. so how can you loose a lot of weight and not go into starvation mode. [i know working out helps but that makes you gain muscle and i dont really want muscle but i work out anyway]

I've been separated for almost four years, and everyday my ex (he cheated on me) does more things to annoy me or hurt me.
