Yesterday was an absolutely perfect day in my neighborhood and my 12-year-old friend pushed me into walking to the beach. When I got there a little boy named Casey was having a hard time getting his kite in the air. His cousins had gotten their kites entangled with each other. I hadn't flown one in years, but these were nice ones with string winders. Casey and I had his kite in the air in no time, and with a lesson from me he is now convinced he is a pro. His cousin had a bit tougher time, but I fixed the balance and his was soon up in the air. However, he didn't have 1/4 of the patience of Casey who, for all I know, is still flying his. Now I am hooked. I have been reading up on all the new-fangled kites since yesterday.

Please tell me what your favorites are and where I can get the best deals!

I got an invitation to the Jehovah's Witnesses summer assembly but could not attend. If anybody has already heard the public address, can you say if one identifying mark of a real follower is that s/he worships Christ as Savior and Lord (based on the fact of Christ's deity)? If worshipping Christ is still forbidden in JW circles, did the public talk explain how it is possible to have a god that is not worshipped?

i found out on sunday the girl i really like has a child i felt that i loved her and was to be honnest shattered when i found out she already had ties which meens. not comming out for long dates ebcause she cant leave her child with parents long (she is 19) im 18.

she didnt say no to me when i asked her out she jsut said she cant because she has a baby to lookafter i understand but why does life have to be such a ***** in these circumstances we agreed to jsut be freidns and we moved on but i still really like her and cant get ehr out my head i feel like my hearts broken

i mean why hasnt he moved off his *** to go visit "glasgow airport" to see the devastaion caused by thease swines and not only that to personally thank the services for there quick responce in avoiding a real disaster ty god no fatalities ,or is he scared to fly here or more so is he just a scot when it suits him ,im sure the scottish people would appreciate a vist from him ,saying that they probably cant be assed with him anyway

I have been asked to order books for a library which is run totally by volunteers (ie we don't have any expert librarians!) and I have been given the task of ordering for children in two age groups - 6-10 and 11 upwards. Although I know of many great childrens authors, I would be really grateful if any of you could list your favourite books or authors for children in these categories as we have limited funds, and I want to order the best I can.

Yes, I know these folks are not considered "Mormon" by members of the LDS Church, but they consider themselves to be Mormon Fundamentalists. These are the people who still practice polygamy and believe in other early doctrines. The FLDS is one Fundamentalist Church, the Apostolic United Brethren is another and there is a group in Centennial Park, Arizona. There are others too although I think the AUB and FLDS are biggest. (No, I'm not gay by the way, I'm just interested in their political stances so I don't say the wrong thing when I talk to my AUB friend)
