Yes, I know these folks are not considered "Mormon" by members of the LDS Church, but they consider themselves to be Mormon Fundamentalists. These are the people who still practice polygamy and believe in other early doctrines. The FLDS is one Fundamentalist Church, the Apostolic United Brethren is another and there is a group in Centennial Park, Arizona. There are others too although I think the AUB and FLDS are biggest. (No, I'm not gay by the way, I'm just interested in their political stances so I don't say the wrong thing when I talk to my AUB friend)

Do you know how strictly religious Mormons are? You're also asking about those who feel they are the most hard core of the Mormons.

My friend, you would get the same answer from a Baptist or Catholic. They are against it plain and simple, and think those who do it are going to hell.

Personally I'm not gay or religious. Gays are not hurting me, but I feel the views of the religious are not always what is best for this country.

You'll find very little printed documentation of the FLDS doctrine outside their church, but I can speculate:

If they have held onto the beliefs and traditions of the early pre1890 mormon church, homosexuality still considered abhorrent, along with their extreme anti-black agenda.

The Community of Christ (Reorg'd LDS) is a much more progressive church, and holds a more interpretive view of the Book of Mormon. Women may also hold authoritative church positions, whereas the Brighamite church remains strictly male dominated.

The Mormon Church and its sects generally are against homosexuality and gay marriage. Most religious organizations are so. This is not necessarily a political stance however. The objection is on moral grounds, not political.

All the Mormon sects I'm familiar with view all sexual acts outside the bonds of marriage as sin. This includes homosexual sex.

The Mormons LOVE gays, that's why they bash them when they are alive, then baptise them when they are dead.

Some religion, oy.
