I recieved a couple of really good suggestions about how to create a realistic-looking "heat-wave-effect" in photoshop a couple of hours ago and, this reminded me of of another question; Does anyone know how to take text in photoshop and make it appear "ghostly-looking'?? I know how to change the opacity in text to make it more transparent against a background but, what I ALSO need to do is to make it look like glowing smoke with twists, swirls, etc...(again, any links to a photoshop tutorial on this particular subject would be greatly appreciated!) Thanks in advance!!

Please consider the following, and review the links if you don't believe the claims:

1) There is a consensus among climate science experts that humans are the primary cause of the current global warming:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgCxBALgHOtjhactMX_WFDjsy6IX?qid=20070623154358AAMwRrZ

2) They have come to this consensus because measurements and models cannot account for the recent acceleration in global warming from "natural causes" including the sun. Since 1960, they estimate that 70-95% of global warming is due to greenhouse gases:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Climate_Change_Attribution.png

3) The consequences of not slowing global warming will be very bad within a few decades, at most.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ArWwA7u27SODHeZEr2j6ctTsy6IX?qid=20070623160517AAcvFGc

Considering this evidence, are you still skeptical that humans are the primary cause of the recent global warming, and if so, why? Rational answers, please.

My upper arms are constantly red, and people always ask me why, which is really uncomfortable. Even my best friend asks, and I just can't take it anymore!

Lately I've been getting these red itchy spots all over my arms, and I know it isn't chicken pox, but I have no idea how to make them go away! Should I see a doctor?

Hi,
Is Math and Econ undergrad degree useful (BSc) ?

Can I get a good Job in Financial Firm (in States/Canada )with Bachellor degree in Math (BS) and Economics (BA).

Everywhere I see on website Employers ask for Acccounting Designation!!

Currently, I am completing BS in Math and will go for Econ as second degree.

But, I dont see anywhere employers in financial firm asking for this combination.

Everybody wants business and accounting degree :(.

Thanksalot

That is, how do engineers apply calculus to experimentally derived functions? How does an enginner know that a function applies to the specified range of the phenomena in question?

Granted, I realize the universal law of gravitation
(a=9.8m/(s^2)) is set in stone, but how do engineers apply calculus when calculus demands the sample of analysis to be an accurately defined function?

downloaded itself to my computer and I can't remove it.The real problem is the icon on my task bar that keeps saying there are numerous spyware apps runnin. it's not true, the first time I clicked on this icon my spysweeper jumped up and said it was a potentially harmful program. I tried to remove it from the add/remove but its not there. I've run my virus scan and spysweeper but nothing. The icon is called spycrush. Its a shield with a ? mark and an x flashing. If somebody has to remove this. I have also tried to remove it through the start up option where you pick what you want to run at start up! nothing oh and I cant right click it either.
