As Americans we should be able to participate in ADULT civil discourse. From reading many of your posts, all I see is childish name calling and snide partisan remarks. Why can't we try working together instead of tearing each other apart?

When I realized that my faith has done nothing for me over the last year and a half, it was then, I made this decision. I have lost my girlfriend, mom, and both grandparents over this time. I have lost a job I held for 13 years over this time. My house has been broken into twice over this time. And now... I've been told that I have diabetes.

So do I believe in God...NO! Would God let things like this happen to one individual who has been faithful all these years in such a short time...NO! If there was a God, would the Holocaust have happened many years ago...NO! Would we be in such stupid war where people kill their own. Is it fair for us to have faith in something that hasn't shown itself or presence for over 2000 years...NO!

How many people have died at the hands of someone else, and probably cried out "Dear God...Please NO", only to die and not be heard? I have realized it's just another way to make someone else rich by donating to a cause that can't be proved.

i am 13 and have experienced night terrors ever since i was in 2nd grade. Over the past year they have become more extreme. I have a reacuring one where I am about to die. I can never remember why but it feels like my tonuge gets a weird taste in my mouth. Everything seems to be going way too fast and the whole time I am thinking "why am I doing this". I am half awake and I am aware of my surroundings but have no control over my body. Last night I remember thinking I was going to die, and I actualy got out of my bed, walked out into my living room and started pacing around the room scared out of my mind, feeling like I was going to die. The next thing I remember was me sitting on our couch at 4:15 am wondering what just happened. This has happened before where I also went into our living room pacing around yeling for people to save me because I had a feeling that everything in the room as going to come at me. Will i grow out of having these dreams? I have had about 10 of
these dreams

Ok, so I shave..."down there" and I get horrible ugly red shaving bumps that I can't seem to make go away. I leave for California Next Friday [June 29th] and I'm going surfing so i don't want people seeing my ugly bumps...I don't wax: it's too painful.

Details: I use shaving creame when I shave and i change my razor heads regularly so they arent dull.

Is there any way I can get rid of these things AT HOME with a Home Remedy? Please Help! Thanks in advance!

I started trying to analyze poker strategy by modeling a 2-player, Texas hold 'em no-limit game. I started by identifying all two card starting hands and simulated lots of full games (millions) them to find probabilities of victory for any 2-cards vs. any other 2-cards.

Next I started to map out the ways the game could progress prior to the flop (raises, re-raises, re-re-raises, etc. and with several varying dollar amounts).

Now I am at a point where the complexity of posibilities is become enoormous and I am still dealing with pre-flop strategy (there are addition phases of the game as more cards are played if you don't know how to play hold 'em).

Anyhow, my question is how many people have tried something like this before and gotten lost/ given up along the way? I am starting to feel like I may never be able to fully model the game for 2 players and find an optimal strategy, let alone expand the optimal strategy to 3 to 10 players. Lost cause? Any tips? Thoughts? Thanks!

My doctor gave a light suggestion that my tonsils could be one reason for having strep(sp?) throat a few times a year. He said it's a 50/50 deal and that it's completely up to me if I keep them or get rid of them......but I'm a singer at the Opera House and Cabaret and I'm afraid my voice will be messed with if I do......help..?!

Our reception comes with a 6 hour open bar... and the price per head does not change if we reduce the open bar time. My only concern is if this is way too long for alcohol and will people be falling all over the place?!? I want everyone to have a good time and party with us all night... but is this okay??

I don't pose these quotes not as a left-wing hitman but to point out how badly we have screwed up...I'd like to hear other people's perspective. Heres my view

Bush Admin.
-not enough troops to secure border
-war plan did not accurately reflect the predictions of experts, nor reflect history of intervention in middle east
-Poor oversight throughout (Abu Ghraib)
-Break up of Iraqi Army/Debathification

Provisional Authority (Post War Planning)
-Failure to emphasize basic needs for Iraqis: security, jobs, electricity, sanitation
-Over-emphasis on advanced ideas: i.e. national debit cards and flat taxes
-Using Saddam's palace as Central Command!

Military:
-Ignoring prisoner abuse
-Didn't remove poor commanders
-Submissive to poor civilian advice
