You might not agree with this, but I have been so hurt and manipulated by every man that has been in my life, and I've just met someone new who seems rather promising.

Rather than say "I'd like him to be like / do this" (in my mind, not asking him!), my friend suggested I make a list of ten hotspots that if he does, even once, then get rid, because they are a sign of me ending up in another abusive relationship. Thing is, I can't think of many, I've started the list, could you help me finish it with things that you perceive of warning signs of a bad egg? The things I've listed I've experienced, so these are definitely staying.

1) Behaving aggressively towards me
2) Humiliating me in public
3) Telling me what to do (telling, not advising)
4) Being rude to other people (think this is a sign that he is just putting a mask on to you... that will eventually slip)
5) Making me feel inadequate.

Any more for any more? It'll be really appreciated, I need 5 more. Thanks! xx

We have had water damage twice(dishwasher---ice maker supply) in the last 3 years, bad luck each time. We have had laminate down both and it has buckled the laminate pretty good. We thought we had decided to lay tile in the kitchen, and hardwood throughout the rest of the house, but now we are conisdering going with the engineered hardwood everywhere. Our concern is possible water damage in the future. I know it is a freak thing, but we really don't want to go through this again. The hardwood would be cheaper than the tile because of installation prices, and we would like the look a lot better. Please let me know any suggestions. I have heard that the hardwood will not buckle as much and sometimes if you catch it in time it will dry out, or at worst you can refinish. Is that true?

I was on here and anwered one about a sick dog and everone inclueed me said to put him down, I went back and seen where they had added this Grandmother instead of pet or dog. So That got me to thanking.
If we are able to stop the suffering of our loveing pets, Why can't we stop the suffering of people.
My Grandmother suffered for 1 and 6 months of cancer. I Had to take care of her! I was only 13, but mon had to work and noone else could. She cryed all the time, becouse she was in so much pain. She could not eat, At the end they even put her in a coma, "due to the pain" but the tears was still there. So why can we end the suffening of our pets, and not us. She just begged to have it all end, but we could not do anything. One time she asked me to give her all her pain pills, you know at the end I had to really fight myself, becouse I could have helped her, before she got So Bad.

So to that one who asked this, I am Sorry and I am with you 100 %

This question is only to Rosie fans who have watched The View while Rosie was on.

If you still watch the show, what do you think of it now - would you say it is less interesting/more interesting...do you watch it less frequently now or the opposite, etc...

The patient was admitted for lap cholecystectomy with the assurance of getting back home in 3 days. The lap cholecystectomy was followed by open cholecystectomy, the reason said by the surgeon was that there was found bleeding in the liver. The patient was otherwise very healthy, had no past history of any surgery. I want to know if the bleeding in the liver was a result of medical misadventure during laparascopic cholecystectomy by the inefficient surgeon and so a subsequent open cholecystectomy (which was a major surgery) was performed? The surgeon never owned up his error. The patient actually expired some 15 days later.

My wife and I will be going to Vegas after I get back from Iraq in Septmeber. We have booked Hooters because it is cheap and location. We have been to Vegas twice before, but always stayed at the MGM which we loved. I have been to Hooters casino, but haven't seen the rooms. Should we stay with our Hooters booking or just splurge and spend more to stay somewhere new like Paris, Monte Carlo, or New York New York?? We want a fun pool scene with decent accomidation. Thanks!!

An accident happened. The other party was at fault.
But the other guy's insurance low balled me. Not paid enough for injurues we've sustained.
Should I sue the insurance company or the individual?

A few years ago, I went to a lot of family funerals and did not cry, I had good memories of those members that passed away and I recalled those.

Then later in the year, I had to put my cat down...the vet gave him the shot and he died in my arms. I cried like a baby. Then it happenned to my other cat...same thing.

I did not cry at the funeral of my family members, but cried when my cats died....am I cold hearted?

I found out that the clay litter in my cats box was toxic...they would lick their paws and go into their digestive system.

Now I use natural litter.

See, see the brilliant sky
Marvel at its big orange depths.
Tell me, jr_fiction do you
Wonder why the sloth ignores you?
Why its foobly stare
makes you feel fuzzy-headed.
I can tell you, it is
Worried by your ridonculous facial growth
That looks like
A herb salad with mandarin oranges.
What's more, it knows
Your vulgar potting shed
Smells of booger.
Everything under the big brilliant sky
Asks why, why do you even bother?
You only charm limburgers.

When I was a kid, I dutifully learned from the American media that the Palestinians were terrorists and that the Irsaelis were beseiged victims.

One day, while passing this on to my sons as part of homeschooling, our oldest said - WHY do the Palestinians do this? I said, "Let's find out."

My 14 yo homeschooled son made a few movies to share what he learned. The one above is his latest. This was his first, about Palestine since the Intifada

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWBsB_ijNlc

which for an old lady like me must be watched on full screen mode to read the text.

Here's my favorite that he's made asking questions about Palestine:

So, did you know these things? Do they square with what you were always taught? If not, why not? If yes, where did you get your education?

What would be better for your health and longevity?

This is roughly based on 40mg of pain killer or the equivalent narcotic per day or so.

OR

6 to 8 shots of 80proof alcohol. 10 at most.

If one precedes the other which alcohol is best or what pain killer is best.

Doctors answers vary so much, that I'm looking for personal experiences or hard facts.

I have lived in the NY area all of my life. I was only 20 yrs. old then and the mall I worked at overlooked the NYC skyline.

That morning it was beautifully sunny and warm. I was getting ready for work while watching Maury (a paternity episode) and I left my house just minutes after the first plane hit Tower One. I was walking to the bus stop when some dude yelled that a plane just hit the World Trade Center. I thought it was a small Cessna and I prayed that the people on the small plane were OK.

When I got to my first destination to switch to my next bus, a record store had their radio speakers on and the news people were talking about TWO planes. I got confused then, but I knew I would see everything for myself when I got by my mall. Both towers were on fire and the smoke wafted across the sky.

The mall closed at noon that day and we drove to the back of the mall where lower Manhattan was in full view. It was also cover in black smoke.

I have been in a relationship for about 1 year; we are engaged to be married next year. The problem is that my soon-to-be mother-in-law and the ex-girlfriend keep trying to interfere. Now the two of them are having lunch together, talking about me, and telling my fiance that the way I treat her is bordering on "domestic violence"! (Which is completely ridiculous.) Aside from tension and arguments over the two of them, my fiance and I get along fabulously. I don't know what to do. Should I confront them or should I just let it go?
