I am looking for something light, but something really good to serve for dessert at our 4th of July cookout. I like cream cheese recipes and or a good creamy triffle recipe, any suggestions?

Angel food cake with whipped cream, strawberries and other fruit. You can buy everything at the store and assemble in minutes.

For a fruit dip, combine a jar (7 oz) of marshmallow creme, a package (8 oz) of softened cream cheese, and 1/4 cup cranberry orange sauce (frozen kind, thawed).

these are awesome.

Puff Pastry Cinnamon Rolls

INGREDIENTS

1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cubed
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 (16 ounce) package cream cheese frosting

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Spray a 9x13 inch baking pan with cooking spray.

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add cream cheese, cinnamon, and vanilla to pan, and stir until smooth. Remove from heat, and cool for 5 minutes.

Spread cinnamon and cream cheese mixture over puff pastry. Roll puff pastry into a log, and pinch ends together to keep filling inside. Place roll in prepared pan.

Bake in preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from oven, and spread cream cheese frosting over warm roll. Serve warm or at room temperature

if you want to save time on making desserts you could make red and blue jello with whipped creme. Or, you could make a bowl filled with strawberries and blueberries with whipped creme . you could make firecracker ice by mixing grated ice(like in snow cones) with strawberry(red) lemonade (white) and raspberry (blue) unsweetened drink mix ,water ,and sweet end condensed milk.then when the mixing is done place one scoop of each flavor in a ice creme cone.

how about a nice fun dessert (especially if kids are going to be there) its called "dirt and worms".

how you make it-------- take a bucket (like the sand bucket you would take to the beach) and fill it up with chocolate pudding. add some oreo crumbs to it and than add some gummy worms or even sour worms to it. than just serve it with the beach shovel and you have a nice cute dessert

Jell-o cake. I don't bake, my mom does, but it was a HUGE hit at our annual cook-out at work yesterday. If you need the recipe, I'm sure I could get it for you.
