sorry i came uninvited, but television at the moment is so much better without rosie. with all these fans saying that the view is flat and boring, maybe its just that rosie was nothing but a firestarter. interesting or not, she was quite ignorant and very boisterous in starting riffs with ditzy elisabeth. it's easy to watch a bunch of squabbling, put it on springer. if you want something with substance, put it on cnn. if you want a cackling hen party, stick with the view, as it is sure to end its course.

Since I am not currently working I sometimes watch The View. I bring this up since on the East Coast only housewives, retirees or unemployed individuals can watch The View at 11 a.m.
Having said that, I AM NOT a Rosie fan, so I am glad she is out. I heard that Whoopie has been hired and since I saw her twice as a guest I can say that I was not impressed with her input to the format which has become rather flat and predictable.
I believe that The View should invite PARIS HILTON to join the show at least as a part-time guest. She would certainly bring back the spark and controversy that The View is now lacking and will certainly attract younger viewers which arenot being targeted as well as lots of press coverage.

I was never a Rosie fan, but I was glad to see her and the other women discussing real issues on TV, rather than the usual diets, clothes and gossip that the View has always done in the past.
I tried to watch it without her, but it seems to trite and shallow now.
I feel somewhat insulted that women can't or refuse to talk about world events in a meaningful way. Now, the women each say 1/2 a sentence about any 1 topic and switch to something else-- it's like listening to 4 women with ADD.
So no, after Rosie left, I can't seem to swallow the sugar-coated, meaningless chit-chat they went back to.. which is why I never watched before Rosie.

I really like Rosie.
I didn't watch the view until Rosie came on.
I think she adds humor, and I love her stories
about her kids. I love her honesty about depression, I love her crafty-ness, And she
makes me laugh!
I do still watch the view mainly for the "Hot Topics"
in the beginning of the show, or if there's a good guest host, or a good singer. Then I turn. They don't make me laugh.
If Rosie had her own show in the same time slot, I would watch Rosie over the View.

Rosie's a cow who sounds like an elementary school dropout. Elizabeth at least sounds like she made it through junior high, though she's not super-bright either. But she so knocked Rosie off her self-made platform! She did good there, it surprised me actually. But I usually don't watch The View anyway, cuz there's usually something better on than a bunch of hens, all clucking at once. It just gives me a friggin headache.

No I only watch it sometimes anyways depending on the guest or topics. Just to here Rosie's opinionated views. She made that shows. Now the ratings will plunge.

No I don't watch now, I tried. Rosie is not a grade-school drop out or a 'Springer' type(Actually she left because the show was portraying her that way).
When that crud happened that day I was out of town and went back and watched. It was soooo obvious that they set her up just to get a Great Season Finale out of her. Kudos to her for leaving. She quit, she wasn't fired. ABC let her out of her contract that day after she requested it.
I used to yell at the screen when she was on , she irritated the tar out of me. Then she said, "if you want to see the real news you have to go outside of the US to get it". She said it with such frustration and resolve. So I did.
You all should too.
I don't agree with everything she said. But she sure enlightened a whole bunch of us.
The show now is sickening, especially the first week she was gone. GAG.
I've said it before...I'm really surprised Elisabeth and the others can walk with ABC's hand so far up their asses controlling their mouth movements and their voices.

Personally I like Rosie as an actor. I would love to see her as a guest performer on the "Shield" or the "Closer"... better yet "House". I feel her hosting days are gone due to the nature of her character. As far as the show I really have not focused on it since Star left!

I only began watching the View b/c Rosie was on (my first show was hers) since she has left I watched the 1 right after she left (to see what the hasselbitch would say) and then deleted it off my tivo. I haven't watched one since. I hope the show tanks.
