I honestly don't know that the hell the Bushs' infatuation is with Iraq?
Bush Sr. and now Bush Jr. - they were the some of the worst presidents for this country.

Very screwed. As well with Afghanistan. It's the region and despite patriotic and freedom loving slogans there isn't a decent way out.
I don't think the immediate pullout is an honest option in either of the cases.
Russians tried very hard before, and failed.

"Television brought the brutality of war into the comfort of the living room. Vietnam was lost in the living rooms of America—not on the battlefields of Vietnam."
--Marshall McLuhan

Makes you wonder...are we having the same issue with our "war" against terrorists!

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."
--Martin Luther King, Jr.

"It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it."
--General Douglas MacArthur

Just a few quotes that make sense!

We are only as screwed as the media and the misinformed want us to be. When you have a nation of "girly men" and a complete lack of understanding of what it means as a nation to sacrifice, then you begin to lose the war. We should have gone in there, bombed them back into the Stone Age and been done with it. Calls for Saddam’s removal and the problem of terrorist finding safety in that country have been a hot issue since the early 90's. If you don't trust me check out this

We need to pull out of every foreign country including all bases in Europe and Asia and take care of our borders first.

Let's see, Turkey and Iran are getting involved in the civil war and it is getting worse fast.

We have successfully destabilized the region.

There are no winning options.
The only choices we have are:
1. Stay and be targets to an enemy that is indistinguishable from the friendlies
2. Get out and cut our losses.

great attitude... Turning a Dictatorship to a Democracy takes time. The American Revolutionary War lasted from 1775-1783, its not an easy task to overthrow a government and establish a new one.
