Look at the following quote from biblical scholars James Bowley and John Reeves: "That is so even though ‘the
Bible’ does not exist, if by that we mean a canonically and textually defined entity held in common by all
interpreters throughout the ages. There are only Bibles, and they all include texts which exhibit a great deal
of diversity in their family history."

The "Bible" as we know it is not the only Bible that has ever existed. There are many ancient sacred writings that have been accepted as legitimate that are not in our Bible.
How do we know we have the right collection of writings now?

My guy friend moved to another state a year ago. We didn't know each other v well before he moved but he has kept in touch by chatting..say once a mth. Sometimes he flirts a little and I've started having feelings for him. I'll be in his area for work soon and he said he'd love to meet up. Last time we chatted he asked if there's anything he should prepare before I arrive. I said 'just make sure you don't have a girlfriend!' as in reality, I don't know if he does or not. He seems too goodlooking for me! He replied 'come over here quickly!'. He also wrote that he had fallen for me. Now I'm worried, as I don't know if he's seeing anyone and I don't have the nerve to ask? Anyone got a view on this, especially guys!

over the last two months i have been having trouble starting my car, since i have replaced the air filter, fuel filter, spark lines and plugs, starter, distributor cap, ignition coil, and rotor, i can hear my fuel pump make a buzz noise which means its pumping the fuel through the lines, some times when i start the car the cap will arc, other times it just will not fire up, the only things left i have to replace its the main relay and the fuel pump but before i do that i want to know is there anything else that would cause my fuel system to have low pressure, my problem is a mind boggler to all mechanics i have spoken with, any help would be important to me (this morning it started, yesterday i could not get it going, no temp is associated with the problem)

prickly lettuce weed? These things are AWFUL!! I have tried digging them all up, from the roots and tried spraying them with weed spray. I don't really have grass in the yard because it won't grow(that's another question), but these darn weeds will not go away! I work a lot of long hours so I am home only long enough to sleep. I've sworn myself off fast food.
I go to the local deli a few times a week for sandwiches or salads.

I'm a democrat, and though I like my party's frontrunners, all three of them, I'm realistic enough to realize they don't have much of a chance. Hillary's a woman, and I don't know if this country is ready for a president that isn't male and white, which also excludes my personal favorite, Obama. John Edwards and his 400 dollar haircut or whatever have neatly put him into the punchline catergory. That's what beat Kerry in '04.

Looking to name my Dodge Ram something amazing. I want people to cry when they hear my engine getting closer to them. I want to give it a name, one that will bring fear to the hearts of children, and bring villagers to their knees in prayer. I want to first gather a list of suggested names, and then have people vote on those names.
