Your book sounds a little silly. You have to be Christian to believe in the anti-Christ. Not to mention the fact that not even "real" Christians have protection from the anti-Christ.

I think it sounds more like someone's answer on Q/A than something read in a book. But, there are many in churches around the world that give lip service to believing but have no heart-desire to serve God. The same happens with every religion and social group ever conceived. There are always people who go along just to have something to do, and they'll do and say anything to fit in without really caring about the cause.

Whoever wrote that doesn't sound like a christian. If he was an aggrieved and possibly puritanical christian he wouldn't say 'christians aren't real christians', he might say 'not all people believing themselves to be christians are christians'. most christians would agree with that, as many churchgoers are just in church as its the respectable thing to do in their locality or due to their upbringing, without any real faith.

The parable of the Sower (soils) speaks of those who start the race but fade out due to temptations or persecutions. Some people pretend to be Christians because they think it will help their business prosper or help their social standing in the Deep South.

While I wouldn't say all Christians aren't, there do seem to be those guilty of lip service. Then again, you will have that in every area of life, those saying do this, do that, this is right, this is wrong, but do they truly believe that or hold it over others heads to feel superior?

We may never see the Anti-Christ so why would we need protection. I love God because He loved me even though I sinned.

If you are Christian then you follow the teaching of Christianity. If you don't the you can't call yourself a Christian. I don't belive there are half-measures, even though you can have Christian leanings that doesnt mean your one of the flock.

I don't agree. I'm a Christian because I love God, and I love Jesus. I'm also a Christian because I believe in it with all of my heart, mind, and soul.
Yes, I'm really a Christian.
