After the US leaves and the violence is lessened enough for serious reconstruction efforts to take place. Should reconstruction efforts be duel monitered closely by the countries where in it's taking place and by some other N.G.O.? Maybe a new one based on making reconstruction efforts as rapid, sustainible, affordible and of the highest quality possible and to moniter for curruption fraud and waste? Are there any N.G.O.'s like this already? Would this be a way to shape up reconstruction efforts as much as possible? What else would do it better then it's being done today?

A friend of mine is totally convinced that plan B is the same as an abortion. Which I dont understand at all!! Plan B KEEPS you from getting pregnant in the first place. How can NOT getting pregnant be an abortion. If that were the case, wouldnt using any form of birth control be an "Abortion" ? Let me know what you think!

I have a female cat, Sasha. She's declawed in the front, fixed, slightly overweight, has never had any major health problems, just ear infections. She was an outdoor/indoor cat for most of her life. Now she's an indoor cat 'cause she's now living with me in my apartment. She's about 16 & a half yrs.old, lately she's been drinking a TON of water, her bowel movements smell god awful toxic, & she peed on my bed twice in the last week, and once on the couch, which she never did before. She eats & sleeps fine, not too active but she walks around the apartment and is still able to jump on and off the bed, etc. Her eyes are pretty cloudy, she seems to have trouble seeing things that aren't right in front of her. I'd like to take her to the vet, she hasn't been in a while, but I really don't have the money for it. But how do I know if it's best to put her down? Or do I just try to keep her comfortable until she dies here? She doesn't seem to be in any pain. I don't know, any thoughts¿

My partners child from a previous marriage has been brought up vegetarian. Although his mother states he has a sufficient diet to compensate I think its wrong. He always seems to be ill with a cold and I think its much fairer to allow him to make his own decisions when he is older, what do you think?

I just signed up for the 14-day free trial of the NASCAR Trackpass, where you can watch 'the race' online, and I must say, it stinks. If you don't know what it is, when you're watching the race on TV and they sometimes show the crashes in 3-D computer animation, well that's exactly what this is... You'd think NASCAR could do a better job and show the real race, with the real cars.
This is more just a statement, and not really a question, I guess I could turn it into one though by asking... If you have it, how do you like it?

and please, not smart@$$ answers please - you know who you are.

I understand that at periodic intervals you invest money and buy securities, thus increasing the number of units you hold. So if the NAV is low you buy more units and if the NAV is hight you buy less units. Then since the number of units you hold remains the same no matter how the market performs, and the money from the fund is not withdrawn till the locking period is over, is it so that the entire time period till the next buy doesn't matter at all?

We neglected the borders, so now we've got millions of people who can't be torn out without disrupting our economy, and we're in a war, so that would not be so great. The current bill tosses out anyone who doesn't work or has committed a crime since they got here and fines everyone else very heavily ($5,000 is huge money when you are working a job that doesn't require a high school diploma--that will be painful to pay off and is definitely a punishment for coming illegally). I am not kidding--what do conservatives want? Anything short of going house-to-house and deporting everyone (which WILL hurt the economy) is called "amnesty." I am really asking. What do they want?? What is the great threat in acknowledging we were stupid to leave borders unprotected and expect no one to come over when we're next to a poor country where people know they can die of treatable diseases? Are we willing to risk the balance of our economy in a war just to throw poor people back into even greater poverty?

I made the mistake of renting an apartment in Queens with my second cousin. The situation is unbearable- I buy groceries most of the time, do most of the cleaning, all the utilities are in my name so I have to wait for her share (which is always late), she borrows money all the time (and I can never keep track of it all), flips out over the stupidest things (is a spoiled rotten only child), and makes the apartment a living hell... etc.

Both of our names are on the lease. We have 11 mos. to go. I believe the lease says I cannot sublet the apartment.

I know my cousin cannot afford the place on her own. If I were to move out would I simply forfeit the security deposit and the lease would be void, or would the landlord be able to sue me for my share of the 11 mos rent? And, assuming my cousin would be bold enough to refuse to move out if the landlord were to sue me, might I then have to pay for half of a 2BR apt for her to occupy by herself??? Please help!

As an obvious example, could we really say that Jews and Muslims would have freedom of religion if they were required to show same respect to images of Jesus that Christians have? Would Christians and Muslims really have freedom of their religion if they were required to wear yarmulkes? Would Christians and Jews have freedom of religion if they were required to adhere to Muslim dietary restrictions?

Forcing people to accept some particular idea or adhere to spiritual &/or behavioral standards from someone else’s religion means that their religious freedom is being infringed upon. Keeping the government and law free from religious doctrine makes it fair for all.

Is that or is that not true?
