Anomalous lights in the sky, mysterious creatures, angelic figures, strange subhumans, people have always seen funny things throughout the ages. In western culture apparitions and visions have become discredited. They are unpopular and outlawed by official agents in our cultures, science, churches, academia or the press, hower they continue to disconcert us' UFOs, Virgin Marys, phantom animals, aliens, spiritual encounter and so on are seen all over the world.

To the believer and skeptic how do you weigh and measure these encounters and why do you believe or disbelieve????

I have two LCD displays, one is on my laptop and my desktop also has one. I recently bought my laptop and was using it for a little while, and came over to my desktop and turned it on and it looked extremely dark! It was because the laptop is turned up to full brightness and I turned the brightness on my desktop down a while ago and just got used to it, didn't notice how low it was until after using my laptop.

So anyway, should I turn down the brightness on my laptop too? Would it be good for my eyes, or is it really no different? It's only that bright when I have it plugged into the power supply.

This can be just for fun or if it really happened you can tell...for me the worst thing was when I stepped on cat puke bare footed and it squished in between my toes, it was dark so I didn't see it till it was too late.

I am brand-new to oil painting and would greatly appreciate help! The canvas is cotton and came with my kit; I'm assuming it's prestretched. Do I still need to size with rabbit-skin glue or acrylic gesso before priming and painting with oils? I should probably mention the oils are a new kind of paint that is actually water soluble! Also, if anyone knows of an animal-friendly alternative to rabbit-skin glue, that would be amazing. : )

I hate applying to jobs online...I don't think the company ever looks at my resume..It seems they are ignoring me...I have a very good resume and great potential for working with the company...Why am I not getting any response from these companies...If I do a walk- in at the company and ask them for a paper application they always say apply online...I do that and I keep getting ignored...Do any of you out there ever get any luck with applying for a job online or is it just me???

I'm 23 years old, about 190lbs, 5'9, not in bad shape, but I've started getting a gut over the last couple years, I seem to lose weight easily, and it's hard for me to put on a lot of weight.

So to get back in shape, I've been using the following schedule, 7 days a week, with no walking or slowing:

(Keep in mind... if I need to stay with one set for an extra amount of time, I will, they are not set in stone, but are my goals)

Week 1 & 2: Run 400m
Week 3 & 4: Run 800m
Week 5 & 6: Run 1200m
Week 7 & 8: Run 1200m followed by 3 sets of 20 crunches
Week 9 & 10: Run 1200m followed by 5 sets of 20 crunches

I'm thinking of escalating this every two weeks, until it feels like it's at a point where it plateaus

My question is, with this plan, how fast do you figure I would really start noticing results? Also, are there any health risks in this plan... like is it too much to put my body through even though so far it seems like I can do it?
