I can understand them needing prayers but God helps those who help themselves. I hate judging people but truly believe that an appeal directly to the child snatcher would be more constructive. Am sure the Pope prays daily for all suffering little children & a visit wouldn't grant them anything "extra" but perhaps some "feelgood". Am not so naieve as so expect the abductor to return Maddie on the appeal but at least they may get some kind of info. OR am i getting desperate myself? Poor little Maddie.

I have to identify energy transfers and transformations involving the conversion of energy in household items. I've tried, and this is what i've managed.

Cordless Drill:
240v AC electrical energy from ring main --> 14.4v DC (in transformer (and rectifier?)) stored in battery --> mechanical energy (via the motor effect in the motor producing torque)

Downlight:
240V AC electrical energy from the lighting circuit --> 12V AC (in the transformer) --> heat energy from resistance in the filament --> kinetic energy of electrons and atoms in filament --> light energy in the form of black body radiation

Refrigerator:
240V AC Electrical energy from the ring main --> mechanical energy (compressor in the motor) --> thermal energy

The problem is, i don't think the cordless drill or the refrigerator are in enough depth, and i don't even know if the downlight one is right, i was just guessing. And i don't know enough about how the drill or fridge work to go more in depth.

HELP!!!!

Hi. As I stated in the question, I'm 17 and have become fascinated with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. I know that you can only apply for the Agent position when you're 23, but getting through the selection process is apparently pretty tough. In terms of college, references, work experience, and all that stuff, what do you guys think I should aim to do right now? I have just applied to college and I think a major in accounting would be a pretty good head start towards my goal. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

I guess I need to tell you a bit about me so we can narrow this down.

I will graduate this fall with a B.S. in psychology from Illinois tech. I have relevant work experience in survey data and stats for some big name companies.

I also managed computer labs and other employees. I worked on a project for Calamos investments and I'm currently interning at a multicultural marketing agency in downtown Chicago. Lastly, I'm bilingual.

I really don't know how much a person with my skills is worth. Salary.com makes the amounts fluctuate way too much. I have tried to network but I haven't made any relevant connections. My resume is up on monster and career builder. I had a couple of job offers in which they wanted me to drop out from school and work for them full time. I turned them down.

Any suggestions on what else I could do? This is really frightening to me. My friend graduated 6 months ago in business and he is working at the mall for 6.50 an hour.

How many pages, in total, does a written play for drama need to be? It is an action comedy, and I hope for it to be played by a local theater house. Any estimates? I'm thinking around 70 pages or so, but if anyone knows for sure that would be a great help.

Anomalous lights in the sky, mysterious creatures, angelic figures, strange subhumans, people have always seen funny things throughout the ages. In western culture apparitions and visions have become discredited. All you guys seem to do is biatch and moan with well worn quotes that you probably got from some other Atheists ranting and get your kicks from getting thumbs up from your fellow rebellious nonconformist buddies. im a foster child longing to go home. my brother is what caused me to get pulled out of my home but he is now gone. another reason why im with another family is to finish school and get my license cause i cant get them back home. there is nothing in the world that i want more than to be with my family again. what should i do? go home and drop out of school or finish all this up and be away from them for a few more years?

For example, Christians ... Let's say that Zeus's existence was proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. Zeus routinely struck down those who fell out his favor with lightning bolts; he used his god powers to rape several women and conceive children with them; and he killed his own father to assume the position of king of the gods.

my friend got operated in the stomach 4 times. the doctors kept the wound(4-5 inches)open & allows to heal. she is a strict vegetarian & wanted to know of vegetables that will help in fast healing of the wound.
