Is there any form of pride that God the Father would agree with?

This is in the Bible where?

It goes to show how much you read your Bible or at least how much attention you pay to it?

Pride of the Yankees? Pride and Predjudice? A pride of lions? Kitty Pryde?

Wait, you said God the Father. You mean as opposed to God the Mother, right? What about God the deadbeat Brother-in-law?

Dear sweet n sour,

i think in general we know that pride has the ability to lead to destruction. When the Bible talks about pride- it talks about an arrogance that can cause us to not listen to wise counsel, to think that we have all the answers, and that can cause us to belittle other people. Pride of that sort is destructive and harmful to others and ourselves.

The word pride can have other meanings depending on the context. For example should a father be proud of his son?? Absolutely, God encourages us to love others with a sacrificial and an edifying love. In fact parents are told to encourage and build up their kids and not to exasparate them.

So i guess there would be an example.

Hope that helps. Kindly,

Nickster
