im a foster child longing to go home. my brother is what caused me to get pulled out of my home but he is now gone. another reason why im with another family is to finish school and get my license cause i cant get them back home. there is nothing in the world that i want more than to be with my family again. what should i do? go home and drop out of school or finish all this up and be away from them for a few more years?

your education is very important and im sure your family back home would understand, if you decided to stay on and get your licence and education.
Im sure they also know , how much you love and miss them.Sometimes family will make sacrafices for their loved ones and im sure they will do just this for you...nothing stops you from returning for visits, nor does it stop you from returning after you have completed the things you are stating above....goodluck with whatever you decide

If I was you I would definitely stay away until I had finished what I started, you never know when your brother will come back. It is okay to miss home, but if you have any doubt I would definitely say stay away if you are in a good spot and have things going for you.

I say contact family and let them know whats going on and then if they want u to come home let them know that u have goals and once u go home u might not get to them like u want to now. I know that family is important cause i miss mine everyday but u have to work on yourself now and your family will always b there and would understand..

Do you have contact with your family?
How does your foster family treat you?
If your under 18, I dont think you can move in with your real family.
If your over 18, do what your heart tells you to do,
But, if you can, I would finish your education, and get your licence..
I'm sure both of your families would be proud of you for this.
If you do get along with your foster family, do they know you'd like to go back....maybe they could arrage vistis for you.
Sit down with them and talk it out.
You'll need to make them understand, that your not doing it out of dissrespect. and that your not droping them out of your life.

I'll say finish your school.It is very important these days.Go home with your diploma and education.You will feel good about yourself and show your family how wise you are.Until then,keep in touch with your family,let them know that you miss and love them very much.
