I'm on the pill. I just finished my period. I'm freaking out because the condom broke. I think I'm still safe, but I'm not sure. What are the chances that I could get pregnant? Should we buy a home pregnancy test?

When I first started learning about Wicca, I learned that it is not allowed to cast a spell on someone's behalf without their express permission, even if the spell was meant to heal or benefit them. There were two reasons for this:

1) The person might be traumatized if they found out about the spell later, if they disagreed with Wicca or thought it was evil.

2) It is arrogant to assume you know what is best for another person. Even if you think they need healing, you need their permission before you work toward that goal.

I'm surprised at the number of Christians on here who so flippantly say "I'll pray for you" without asking if it is okay. First, they don't ask if I have a problem with their god and if I even WANT his help. Second, the prayer is often offered in the context that they disagree with me and they want me to change my mind. That seems pretty arrogant to me.

Am I being too sensitive or does this bother anyone else? Is it rude or is Wicca too overly polite?

I am so sick and tired of the justification illegals give for being ILLEGAL:
1. the US immigration system is unfair
That maybe, but it is not for you to decide. Your can either follow the immigration law of this country, or immigrate to another one. Violate the law is criminal offense.

2. we come from a harsh family background
So are billions of others. Everyone is born with his/her fair share of the burden. IT doesn't justify you from breaking laws.

3. we are doing works no one else is willing to do
Yeah, except you are not allowed to work. You shouldn't be working. And that work that no one else willing to do? Have you met the legal immigrants who are working hard to find a job?

4. you can't deport all 13 million of us, so ...
Well, we can start by deporting you

These babies are viable and there are many who would give them a good home. I know many who would welcome even those babies suffering extreme forms of birth defects into their lives.

I can't think of even one valid reason for allowing partial birth abortions. Even if the mother's life is in danger, the baby is normally viable and doesn't need to be killed! Surely, C-Sections or, induced labor could be used in order to spare the child's its life.

Agreed? Aren't they just wrong?

im just wondering what i can "count" as a boyfriend and dating and what doesn't

this is the closest expreience i've had to having a boyfriend but i dont know if it really counts: i went out w/ a guy for like 5 months, maybe? we never kissed or went out on dates or anything, we just kinda enjoyed each other's company while we were at school...we e-mailed each other every day and iknew things about him that no one else did, like how he likes stuffed animals and did gymnastics, but that's the same thing that could happen w/ a good friend. i had to kinda force him to take me to homecoming, we just met there didn't go out to dinner or anything and he broke up w/ me b/c he said that i didn' thave enough freedom to be able to do real boyfriend/girlfriend stuff...

if i meet another guy, and i'd like to be his girlfriend or somefink, can i honestly say that he's my first b/c he would be the first guy that i would kiss? did i really have a boyfriend already or just a semi-relationship?

I'm trying to grow back out a bad cut and some damage left from a chemical straightener about 7 months ago. I got extensions in the sides since the guy (from a quote reprible salon) that cut my hair saying he had to cut most of the damage off got carried away and cut my hair in choppy short layers and more layers on the sides than anywhere else. The sides are hard to do since they aren't mine, but at least the make my hair almost all once length looking even though it's still in long layers and the natural curl is growing back in about 3 inches and then straight on the ends. It is all about chin length and layered up real bad - actually looked better before the guy chopped it all up even though it was damaged, at least it was shoulder length and could be pulled back then. Needless to say, I'm not very trusting of beauticians at this point. I had a bad chemical treatment by one, a bad chopped up cut by another, and now have had to resort to temporary extensions - about 15 per side.

i have a computer thats connected to the internet via wireless...the computer with the modem and router works fine on the internet...but the one on the wireless side, i cant access the internet anymore....when i load up, this message pops up saying "The TCP/IP *thing* is not installed" ugh i dont know what that is.....i tried to repair it, but it said it could not renew the IP adress....then i tried to make a new connection and it needed the WEP key, and i cant find it on my other comp....my router is a Linksys WRT54G...plz help! 10 pts to the answer that solves my problem as a prize...thanks -peace
