oh, thank you so much for setting me straight. Without your guidance I might have watched it again next year, mistaking some harmless light entertainment for a horrible life-altering confession of abysmal ignorance. And here I thought that graduating from Harvard would keep me from being a candidate for being a moron. Instead, I needed you, a stranger, a ship passing in the night, to save me from my lowest common denominator mentality. How can I ever repay you? You must be a Mensa member, right? Or at the least, an astrophysicist? Well, even if all you are is a college professor, you took the time to come on here to save all us American Idol watchers from brain death so you are a hero. Kudos.

Well, I guess when American Idol goes off they can watch So you think you can dance. Or, dancing with the stars. There are a million other "reality" TV shows on for them to watch. I personally would rather watch my grass grow.

What do morons do when American Idol is over? Sit for hours at Yahoo Answers asking ..."Who do you think should won American Idol" or answering the thousands of mindless, repetitious questions about it

Here's a question for you... why must elitists throw a blanket statement like "moron" on all viewers of "American Idol". AI is my "thing". I'm sure you watch things I'd deem as "moronic", but hey... freedom to watch whatever the hell you want to on television without being labeled a moron.
And to address your original question, I think I'll be taking my Christmas decorations down.

I stopped watching AI after season three. The show is a total bore. The contestants are boring and dont have much charisma.

I rock in a fetal position and count the months, days, weeks, hours, minutes, and seconds until the next season of American Idol comes on.

Over 70 million votes for the finale, that's alot of "morons" (of which I am PROUD to be counted among) And besides, there are alot less redeeming shows that you could be watching ("Desperate Housewives" has absolutely zero redeeming qualities).
