I got a wedding invitation and on teh RSVP card it says "___ people attending." The bride and groom know I'm single and it doesnt say anywhere +1, so does this mean I can take a date or not? If they only want me to come why have it say # of people???

Whenever we run hot water in the kitchen (faucet or dishwasher), a loud knocking noise comes from the PVC pipes in the basement. It seems to be coming from the main drain pipe which is about 3 or 4 inches in diameter, and it knocks right along the ceiling joists. After a few minutes the knocking stops. Any suggestions?

I have a family memeber who is constantly making recomendations for employment opportunities although I am on disability and take medication daily for chronic pain. I find it to be so annoying, although lately I simply say 'Oh that sounds good. I'll look into it'... with no intentions of doing that what so ever. Still, I'm annoyed. Has anything like this happened with you?

I am very paranoid about SIDS. But both my twins have acid reflux and are very uncomfortable on their back. I have put pillows under their mattresses, and used the wedges and positioners. As soon as I lay them on their belly they are content and sleep soundlessly. Any other way they are restless. I'm not asking anyone to ok it, but how dangerous is it to let them sleep like this?

Im starting to like this guy who could become a very serious boyfreind. On saturday we are going to a theme park with a bunch of friends and I want to spend as much time with him as possible, but he does not like roller costers and I love them... So how do I get to spend a lot of time with him while not pushing him to go on rides but not missing out on any myself.

I have a Dracaena Massangeana that is having a lot of problems. It had one good “stalk” coming out but almost all the leaves have died except the tiny little new leaf in the middle, but that hasn’t shown growth in months. The “stalk” itself is becoming dry and brittle, but still some greenness at the top. The trunk itself is soft to the touch, which I know is a bad sign. I had gotten excited months ago when from below the soil (near the roots) another “stalk” came out. This is still healthy, with some leaves, but has not grown at all.

It is around 20 feet away from two large North windows in a very bright apartment. I had watered it regularly until it became sick, but I’m scared to over water it now.

Can I save this plant? How? Should I just make cuttings of the two stalks instead? Please be very detailed. Thanks!

If he believes in GOD should we test him to see what he really believes? Would he want to be treated that way? Has he fought in a war. Does he know what it feels like to get shot at and then not know if you will be coming home to your loved ones or not?

If the elections in 2006 was a picture of public disgust over the war, then how come the Congress doesn't have enough votes to override a presidential veto? In other words, if people essentially voted to end the war in 2006 (congressional elections) , why don't the democrats have enough votes to do what the "majority" voted for?
