BLAME CONGRESS. All spending starts in the House of Representatives. What sickens me is the total lack of support for the President. What sickens me is elitist liberals calling for impeachment when you have no crime with which to impeach the President. At least Clinton perjured himself and IT WAS PROVED before the impeachment process began. What sickens me are the bleeding heart liberals that hate Bush so much they are willing to sacrifice the safety and security of this country just to see Bush fail. And you people blindly follow them.

Of this 120 billion, at least 60% is for items already in the original defence budget.

The cash was siphoned off to weapons programmes which will never see Iraq, while requests for improved bomb-proof trucks and extra translator training (total cost $400 mil) is rejected.

Other cash was siphoned off earlier by cutting corners on vehicle maintenence- this false economy will now cost billions.

ok with me as long as we quit letting politicians run the war and let the military do what there trained to do, which is to destroy the enemy, i also think it would help to offer large cash bounties for insurgent kills and info leading to the deaths of insurgent and terrorists, by the Iraqi people. money is a huge motivator and may even lead to giving the Iraqi people a SPINE. That said if the Iraqis really wanted freedom they would take it for themselves kinda of like the Americans did, even knowing we were outnumbered, out financed, and outgunned. you have to want it though

Actually, it's Congress aproving spending of 100 billion on Iraq, plus 20 billion in 'emergency' funds for various domestic issues.

And, no, it's not exactly OK.

Absolutely not! Nobody in their right mind would support throwing good money after bad. I suggest that the U.S. government charge all of the spending done on this boondoggle back to Dubya and his heirs for generations to come after he leaves Washington.

Are you there behind closed doors during classified briefings concerning Iraq and our national defense? Anyone? Anyone? No? Then just deal with it!

Don't like it, then call your Congress person and voice your opinion.

Congress approves the money. But, yes, it is ok for congress, president, anyone to do anything necessary to WIN THE WAR!!!! More troops, more bombs, more positive thinking Americans backing America's efforts, and more of everything needed to WIN and come home VICTORS. Sooner we win, sooner we come home.
