In the second chapter, "A Prayer for union with the Spiritual Teacher [entitled] Natural Liberation, without Renunciation of the Three Poisons", why does the prayer not involve renunciation?

"[Prayer for self empowerment],
...
Without renunciation of ignorance and delusion"

It also abandons renouncing desire and clinging, discordant views and aversion, and the subject-object dichotomy.

I thought that renunciation was very important to buddhists and monks, especially about the likes of desire! So why does the prayer specifically state the absence of renunciation?

Sorry for my ignorance on the matter but I am baffled by this!

about how much they think tattoos are disgusting. I mean, if someone is asking a question about tattoos, then obviously they either have tattoos, want tattoos, and like them. It annoys the crap out of me to see someone giving a really negative and insulting statement, not an answer, about how tattoos are trashy, disgusting and wrong. Well i have 5 tattoos and am planning on having more, but i bet if you met me on the street you wouldnt even know i had tattoos, and i wouldnt know whether you did or not, and more to the point, i wouldnt care if you didnt. My tattoo artist has a sign in his studio ' the difference between an inked person and a cleanskin is, an inked person doesnt care if you are a cleanskin'. If you dont like tattoos, fair enough, but i dont want to see a statement about how trashy they are, and i certainly dont want to hear about how trashy they make me. If i am trashy, thats the way i am, not what i choose to put permanently on my skin.

I am married to a wonderful guy, but I hate to feel this feeling of still being in love with my ex. My ex has issues he needs to sort out for himself. Part of me wants my marriage to work, as I do love my husband alot. I just can't seem to squash this feeling I have. I've tried so hard to ignore it, wishing it away, even thought of hypnotherapy to help me. How can I put 100% into making 'my not so going great' marriage work, if I still feel this way. I don't want to walk away from my marriage, cause it does have great potential to work. Two factors get in the way, my husband and I are just SO different, and then there is my ex. He still loves me. I have an old gateway. I thought I would hook it up to install and play some games. I had to reinstall windows 98 and fallowing the installation I couldn't play the games, because the color wasn't correct. I did as the computer said, and went to the control panel, displays and attempted to change the quality. However there were only two options 2-color & 16-color. Both of them are terrible qaulities and I am pretty positive before reinstalling windows 98, the color was fine. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
