Honestly, are you?

Most people I met aren't really nice to me, I guess it's because I'm not attractive.

not really. I'm much nicer to nice people, attractive or not, so it doesn't really matter what they look like. why, are you?

I work in retail, and I'm generally nicer to people who approach me in a respectable and nice manner regardless of looks. Coming too close to me, an offensive odor, or demeaning attitude is more likely to make me a little more disagreeable than what the person looks like. I've learned from experience that even if you're not the world's most beautiful person on the outside, your personality can more than make up for it. So, either you've been dealing with very vain people or there's something else that's making them treat you that way besides your looks.

Honestly, I think everyone who answers this question and says they're not, is lying. Maybe not consciously, but many people judge and treat unattractive people differently. Imagine, you're at an airport and a handsome man in a suit comes up and asks if you've got an extra quarter for the payphone..chances are, you'll oblige. If an ugly, dirty bum in ratty clothes came up to you and asked the same question, chances are you'd be creeped out and ignore him or say no. It's the truth.

I believe comedian Jim Gaffigan put it best:
"Life is a little easier for attractive people, can we admit that? Think about it, if a stranger smiles at you and they're attractive, you think, 'Oh, they're nice,' but if the stranger's ugly, you're like, 'What do they want? Get away from me, weirdo.'"

Ha

I have been known to judge people based on their looks, but I don't know about being nicer to attractive people. I try to treat everyone the same when I first meet, or are in contact, with them regardless of what they look like.

No WAY ! I am nice to everyone not just because of there looks!! I most likely would be nicer to the oppsite guy!! Cause the ones that are sooo good looking you might say, are the ones that most likely know it and it shows, and i hate that !!

Not necessarily. While both heterosexual females and gay males are going to ultimately looking for a male partner, this does not instantly mean the attraction is the same. Turn ons and offs are a personal question, so no two people will have the same response. Not two straight women, a mix, or two gay males will agree on what is a deciding physical or mental decider for them,

i think ppl are generally nicer to people who are smiling, pleasant, and bright. how can you be rude to somebody who is smiling and seems to be enjoying life.

it could be true that a smiling, attrative individual would get a lot of attention, but i think as long as you are smiling and nice to others, people would be nice to you.

there will be a few who are not nice. they are either having a bad day or just have problems
