In Matthew 16, Jesus makes the statement, "You are Peter...and upon this rock will I build my church"

Peter (petros)....means small stone...or pebble.
Rock (petra)....means bedrock...or solid ground.

In the preceeding verses, Jesus asks the question, "Who do you say that I am?" And Peter answers, "You are the Christ...the Son of the living God".

This is the "solid foundational truth (petra)" that Jesus was referring to.

He never said He was going to build His church uopn a fallable man like Peter.

So what say you for thinking this?

-I am a single mom and don't have time for 'buddies'. My kids hearts are NOT up for grabs because some guy thinks I'm cool for the time being. He is "scared to get hurt and wants to be just friends and see if it develops". Tha
-The fact is that is a waste of my time. If a guy is really into you, he won't sit around and play it safe. I guess he doens't think I am worth the risk. He wants to sweet talk me and pretends we are a couple, holding my hand and all, but wants it easy. He wants to hang out with me and my kids. He wants to sit on the fence and hopes 'IT will just happen'. That sounds like a cope out to me. Either I am worth it or not. How do I tell him short and to the point, that I have a life that I love and don't have time for mixed signals? Either he is in or out? I don't want to marry him, or even date him exclusively. All I need is a 'lets date casually cause I'm interested'. I need to know that we are on the same page. Or I am wasting my time.

Me and my husband own the house. We were nice enough to let her move in with us 10 years ago and she STILL hasnt left. IT has been such a struggle living with this woman. She isnt the easiest to get along with and is an ex- drug addict. (actually I think she still does drugs based on her behaviors)
She put a new doorknob on her bedroom door without asking us permission and it has a key lock on it. I made her give me a copy of the key because I feel I should have access to every room in MY house if needed. I dont go in her room or dig through her stuff or anything. There is no reason for her to lock her door when she is gone. One day I needed in her room because she had left her phone of the hook and we couldnt use the phone all day. I coudlnt get in there because guess what............ it is locked. That is when I told her I needed a key.
Well, today I realized there is ANOTHER new doorknob on her door and I dont have a key once again. It makes me SO mad!
What should I do??

"And because of their saying (in boast). We killed Messiah 'Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allah," -- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of 'Isa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man)..."

'And peace was on me the day I was born, and peace will be on me the day I shall die, and the day I shall be raised up to life again.' That was Jesus, son of Mary. This is a statement of the truth concerning which they entertain doubt." -- Qur'an, Surah 19:30-35

one verse says, He did not die. one verse indicates that Jesus Himself says, He will die and be raised again to life!

I have several folks that have told me that they are still allowing their kids tages 18 to 23, to ride on their health insurance even though they know their kid has either dropped out of high school or college. How does the Insurance Industry handle this type of fraud...??? the folks i spoke too did not have any special requirements from the insurance company. How do they check this for fraud? If they don't they should....I see no special requirements.....And this type of fraud will come out of the pockets of the tax payers...which is you and I.
In the State of NJ, which requires, secondary and college students over the age of 18 , to continue to be covered on the parents medical insurance until the age of 23.
What is the insurance industry's procedure for continued medical for kids over 18 and still in school?
