vga mode on my digital camera is giving more number of photos than any other resolution, my camera's capacity is actually 7.2 megapixel, but since i got VGA, wanted some advise whether we can use it casually for parties and countryside outing??? or is it too low?

if you only plan on viewing them on screen then vga mode is just great.

BUT if you hope to print them... or if you ever might need to crop (cut part of the picture out) then you need much better resolution. I would suggest you do the level one below your best level. I don't know your camera so i can't say. And don't know your needs. But vga is only for screen viewing and not even high resolution screen viewing.

You are wasting your camera by always using the lowest resolution. You can always make a big file smaller, but you can't make a small file bigger. Maybe some family members might like a print. At VGA setting, forget it. So find a larger card on sale and enjoy your pictures!

in think that VGA camera is just the basic and simple mode...i think that u have to hold the camera really still so that the picture does not come out smudged!!!

Yes you can use it but you compromise quality. It all depends on how many pics you want to take. If you don't care about quality then go for it but if you do, get a larger memory or another memory card. Experiment to see if the quality is good enogh for you..... it really comes down to personal choice.
