Not saying it will ever happen, but hypothetically? I mean I'm sure they will just dry it up like the rest of Mexico, and rely on American tourists to provide economic sanctity.

You ever seen Tijuana? Picture San Diego or Phoenix like that and you'd be close.

It isn't going to happen so I suggest everyone get busy giving their legislators an earful of reality 101.

Edit: I was going to add in Los Angeles, but thanks to illegals, LA is already a craphole.

Well the the white Spaniards who rule the country would do the same thing with it they did with the rest of the country and its people . Keep all the resources and profits, keep it from the people and pocket the rest . It isn't about the land and what is on the land, it is about the corrupt thieves that manage it.
Maybe they can turn it into a holding prison sanctuary for all the illegal immigrants that come into their country from their own southern borders ... lock them up and make them do slave labor until they are shipped back to where they came from .
And to the person who blames America for putting them in debt...that country is not in debt with all the natural resources it has available and if it were then maybe the top 5 percent of Non Mexicans that hold all the money could do something to put back into the sick economy . Once again, we are to blame for the neighbors that mismanage there finances and beat their kids .

California, Nevada, Texas, and a bunch of other western states used to be part of Mexico. Then some Americans came and settled it, had a war then kicked the Mexicans out. So isn't it the Americans who are illegal immigrants? Surprisingly these are the states which most Mexicans are living in. I think they are just settling what was theirs to begin with and are doing what the Americans did to them.

Set up staging areas at the new border to get illegals across.

Though, to be fair, some of Mexico is lacking water because the US sucks the Colorado virtually dry before it flows into Mexico.

They wouldn't do **** with it, like they didn't do **** with the country they already have. Tell me....if they have MORE land (already ahve Mexico) then why the hell are they trying to come here? Americans worked long and hard to make this country what it is....Mexicans (or illegals) are just looking for the easy way out. They can make their country as prosperous as America, but they don't want to. They just want to infiltrate OUR country. I'm sure if Americans were trying to infiltrate Mexico (if their country was better) we WOULD NEVER be allowed EVER....go figure America's gotta be everyone's savior. Damn it, we GOTTA get rid of this president!!!

Just get it over with and annex Mexico and make it the 51st, 52nd, 53rd, and 54th state.

BOTH political parties have no interest in securing the border with Mexico, and they'll just keep flooding over. Just annex the damn thing and put our laws and systems in place there.

Amendment: All of our laws and systems except the immigration ones. Mexico's immigration laws are a LOT tougher than ours -- we can keep those in place.

We'd establish a border around the new part of Mexico and have the Border Patrol stand around and watch the Mexicans stream across the new border.

All of the rivers which used to flow south from the United States into Mexico have been dried up by consumption on the US side of the border.

The Colorado River no longer even reaches the Gulf of California! It is completely drained by agriculture in the Imperial Valley of California.

You mean give them their land back don't you?
Well the way I see it....what have they done with the land they currently have?
They aren't after the LAND! they are after OPPORTUNITIES. Something they do not have in their country, crappy government, no jobs etc. No welfare, no special treatment etc. You know those opportunities that we as Citizens are not allowed to, because we earn to much, yet we're still broke every month after paying off our own bills and the IRS. Hahaha. It's a tragic story don't you think?

Better yet, we could sell it back - and ask for the 15 million back, plus inflation and 159 years' interest. Wow... the things we could do for our citizens...

This one will have to remain hypothetical... it ain't gonna happen.
