In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
When the angels said, 'O Mary, Allah gives thee glad tidings of a son through a Word from Him; his name shall be the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, honoured in this world and in the next, and of those who are granted nearness to God;
Remember the time when Allah said, 'O Jesus, I will cause thee to die a natural death and will raise thee to Myself, and will clear thee of the charges of those who disbelieve, and will exalt those who follow thee above those who disbelieve, until the Day of Resurrection; then to Me shall be your return, and I will judge between you concerning that wherein you differ.'
And for their saying, 'We did slay the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah;' whereas they slew him not, nor did they bring about his death upon the cross, but he was made to appear to them like one crucified; and those who differ therein are certainly in a state of doubt about it; they have no certain knowledge thereof, but only pursue a conjecture; and they did not arrive at a certainty concerning it.
O People of the Book! exceed not the limits in your religion, and say not of Allah anything but the truth. Verily, the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was only a Messenger of Allah, and a fulfilment of His word which He has sent down to Mary, and a mercy from Him. So believe in Allah and His Messengers, and say not, 'They are three.' Desist, it will be better for you. Verily, Allah is the only One God. Holy is He, far above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. And sufficient is Allah as a guardian.
And We caused Jesus, son of Mary, to follow in their footsteps, fulfilling that which was revealed before him in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel which contained guidance and light, fulfilling that which was revealed before him in the Torah; and a guidance and an admonition for the God-fearing.
That was Jesus, son of Mary. This is a statement of the truth concerning which they entertain doubt.
He has prescribed for you the religion which He enjoined on Noah, and which We have now revealed to thee, and which We enjoined on Abraham and Moses and Jesus, viz., 'Establish obedience to Allah in the earth, and be not divided therein. Hard upon the idolaters is that to which thou callest them. Allah chooses for Himself whom He pleases, and guides to Himself him who turns to Him.'
And when Jesus came with clear proofs, he said, 'Truly, I have come to you with wisdom, and to make clear to you some of that about which you differ. So fear Allah and obey me.
O ye who believe! be helpers of Allah, as said Jesus, son of Mary, to his disciples, 'Who are my helpers in the cause of Allah?' The disciples said, 'We are helpers of Allah.' So a party of the Children of Israel believed while a party disbelieved. Then We aided those who believed against their enemy, and they became predominant.

4:157 means that he was physically killed, but in spirit and message he will live on (through the Qur'an).
19:30-35 does not mean that he will rise again to life on Earth. Belief in the Day of Judgement is an oft-repeated necessity in the Qur'an. The Prophet Jesus, peace be upon him, believed in the Day of Judgement, and it is this resurrection of which he speaks.

Interesting that we have today five different accounts of the life of Jesus that are accepted as "scripture". The four that were written by eyewitnesses within a generation of the time Jesus lived all say that he died on the cross. The one that is written 600 years later by a person with no first hand knowledge of the event says he did not.
Which seems more reasonable to believe?

Here's the bottom line on Jesus and the Quran. Muslims say Jesus was a prophet and that he was a good man but he was not THE Prophet (ie. Muhammad). Here's the problem with that. Jesus claimed to be the son of God and the Messiah so there are really only two options on how you approach Jesus. One he is who he said he is, the son of God and saviour of all mankind or, He's a raving lunatic who blasphemed everything that Muslims believe in by equating himself with God. Pick one

The Koran is not of God. The bible is. Jesus, the son of God, died on a cross for our sins, rose again, and will return one day, as the bible tells us.
Simple answer.
