Just recently the court agreed the bank charges are the price of the service provided by the bank..which will blow all the customers who intend to reclaim their money for unfair charges. Do you think it's possible for the government to legislate in this context? WHY?

Before that we were just friends. He moved into my house as an 18 year old. He was just a boarder. Paid his share of the rent, and did his share of household chores.

Then we moved to Toronto together, again only as roommates. But apparently he had fantasies. And he chased me, and wore me down.

He would continuously declare his love for me, and how he wanted more, and how our friendship was so fantastic, that a relationship would be better.

I caved in, I'm still happy. But sometimes the age difference scares me!

Now he wants to get married. How long should I make him wait? I told him if he feels the same way at 25, then I would, is that reasonable? I am in love with him, but so much so, I could give him up, I am hoping by the time he's 25 he'll see the age difference and move on. I can't push him away, I'm hoping he grows away. He is completely aware that I cannot, and would not have or raise any more children.

I am a Christian, I read the Bible and I CHOOSE to believe what it says is true. It all comes down to faith. Faith that the Bible is what God said it is, His holy Word.

But let's face it, isn't it understandable how unbelievers could misconstrue or think the bible is a fairy tale or controdictory? I feel that if I defend the Bible to an unbeliever, I better know what I am talking about. I should be prepared to back it up with some words of substance instead of just quoting scripture randomly as that is just counterproductive and a turn off to most unbelievers. I don't think that we reach people when we quote scripture without our personal opinion and dialogue relating to that scripture. What say you?

You get married to the love of your life, someone who you feel is your soul mate and after less than six months your spouse leaves you. You have no idea where he/she lives, works or have any contact with your spouse's family. He/she has been out of your life completely for several years. The only contact is through cell phone and your spouse clearly has indicated he/she doesn't want the marriage for whatever reason. You feel in your heart your spouse has made a terrible mistake. Could you love someone so much to continue to pled for your marriage after such a long separation? If this marriage could be saved, could it ever work? When do you let go?

it means that any glasses i wear have to be squished to make the lenses thinner otherwise they look like bottle tops. this still makes my eyes look really massive and im really self concious about it, but i cant get contact lenses and laser eye surgery wont work either, any suggestions on how to make me look better?

Hi everyone, I am from HK.

Just b4, about 1500 complaints about the Bible have been received by Hong Kong's anti-porn watchdog after a website said the holy book was full of stories of rape, incest and violence. Those compaints were raised from some anti-christ persons. So far, HK government still didn't response to those complains yet.

They complained, for example, Lot slept with his daugthers in Genesis, Levite's concubine was given to the gangs, and raped, lastly the dead body was splited into 12 parts (Judges 19), etc.

The anti-christ persons said these scenes written in the bible are absolutely immoral, violent and bloody. Also, they said Bible is not suitable for children and it must be sold to those who over 18 with sealed packing and warning message.

I would like to ask, is it frequent for this one happened in your countries?

Do you think this complain is reasonable? absurd?

By estimation, how will your government handle this if it happened?

pls share yr pts, thx a lot

I've had both questions and answers violated before, and I didn't take it to heart. I could see the tortured logic of the thin-skinned at work. But I cannot fathom why my good karma question got the hook. Given the crude and mean-spirited questions that are let fly, I just don't get it.

This host was so full of himself, a total snob. The fella invited us to a party and was'nt even home. The housekeeper and a coterie of servants opened the door and ushered us in. The butlers obviously were instructed to get us drunk in a secluded section of this fella's estate. When we all were full of alcohol and all kinds of roasted meats and cheese, Mr. Bigshot called on a videoscreen saying how sorry he was not to be there personally, then added "but I can see you all are having fun anyways." What does he think, we have nothing better to do than to see his ugly mug on a grainy screen wishing us happy intoxication from some distant locale in Palau or Macau? Man this was the height of being full of oneself. The dweeb even has a personalised toilet with golden handles and a faucet and dryer to wash and dry his hairy behind. Was I within the limits of etiquette to soak this fellas whale bone toothbrush in his own toilet bowl and then place it back in its holder? Any infection?
