it took me almost a year of being on here like 24/7 to get to level 7... then when i look at some people's profiles, they've gotten to level 7 in like 2 months.... how is this possible..??? what are they doing to get so many points so fast...??? sigh...

To reach level 7 you need to answer a lot of questions and also vote on undecided questions, if you use your daily quota of both, then it should not take you too long to reach level 7. If you do ask questions then make sure you choose your own best answer and you will earn 3 points back again. Have you taken the Community Guideline Quiz because that will earn you 20 points. I don't know I been on level 2 for about 3 weeks to a month but I'm a couple of hundred from level 3

I noticed the same thing, i think there's a bug (a flaw, not an actual bug!) in yahoo answers system where some people get points when they're not even answering questions. People with accounts that have that flaw, and get ALOT of best answers, can get through all the levels faster than us doing Y!A the hard way. Either that or it's magic, but i highly doubt that's the reason.=)

Ask George the Pink Fat Hippo. Stay on like forever, never post any question and always increase the chances of getting best answers. Set yourself a target. That's what i did the last few weeks, i jumped pretty fast from level 5 to 6, it took about three weeks or so, but i became level 7 pretty slow.. I would become level two and three pretty fast as well as four. But i think it's because they have a lot of time on their hands.. I could never do that! It almost took me a year to become the level i am!

because they always give smart anwers and if chosen as "best answers", they get 10 points for each, so they can easily go up the level. i started in november of 2006. in 7 months time, i am already in level 5. you will also get there.

It took ME just 4 months to get to level 7 once, but I was on here DAY & NIGHT, though....=)

what we don't do on P&S is give loads of Thunbs up to each other.
Some catagories have up to 50 thumbs up per Best Answer. Each one is a point. So in "Richard's" case he gets 60 points per Best Answer - whereas P&S folk get 10 to 13.
Interestingly if you like a best answer you can add Thumbs Up later and still get the extra points.

They don't have a life and sit on their butts all day collecting welfare, have no girlfriends or boyfriends and order pizzas to be delivered since they have no time to cook a darn meal! This is their life and it's a sad one...I just can't imagine never leaving my house and doing this all freakin day and night. Once in awhile is ok...but to reach level 7 in 2 months? Plus, they vote their answers as the best answers.
