i have a prescription of +10 and +8 in both of my eyes (for those who dont know what this is- it means that my eyes are like majorly blind lol)
it means that any glasses i wear have to be squished to make the lenses thinner otherwise they look like bottle tops. this still makes my eyes look really massive and im really self concious about it, but i cant get contact lenses and laser eye surgery wont work either, any suggestions on how to make me look better?

There are soft and gas permeable contact lenses that can correct +10 easily (even up to +20). Of course glasses are the healthiest for your eyes, but if you want to wear contacts it should be no problem. You should go to another optometrist (not ophthamologist as they don't specialize in contact lenses) for a second opinion.

Hmm. That's a tough one. My vision is nearly as bad as yours, but I can wear toric contact lenses. Get a second opinion from another optrician. My contacts are very expensive, but it may be worth it.

HELLO KNITTY GRITTY,

CONSIDERING YOUR PRESCRIBTION IS A VERY STRONG CONSIDER GOING TO SEE AN OPTHOMOLOGIST NOT JUST AN OPTOMETRIST FOR A SECOND OPINION -- AND A POTENTIAL SOLUTION TO YOUR DILEMMA.
