I recently purchased a folding fan, still in box, from a thrift store. The box itself has a sticker on the front and one on the side, but the characters are of an Oriental language. So, I can't read them. Once fully opened, the scene on the fan itself is of 2 koi-fish, or carp(I'm not sure which), and there is also what appears to be some kind of trademark stamped on it, with some characters written out next to it. The scene is beautifully done, whether printed on or painted. There are 19 ribs, including the wider ribs on either end, that look to be bamboo, and they are painted or varnished in a lovely dark color. I can't tell whether or not this is an authentic hand-crafted piece, or if it is just your run-of-the-mill mass-produced tourist souvenier. I'd love to know, whether or not it's authentic, and perhaps if it is, whether or not it's an antique. Thanks so much! :)

It is often said that it is 90 feet from hom plate to First Base.

Are bases inside or outside the 90 feet?

For instance ,if you run from homeplate to First Base and step on the front of the bag -- is the front of the bag less than 90 feet from home plate?

But if the front of the bag is 90 feet from home plate how about the back of the bag?

What about from First to Second Base? From Second Base to Third Base?

In other words, are Bases inside or outside of the Diamond?

Boys, i need a date 4 a dance. It's a dance where the girls ask the guys....
I like some kid, but i dunno if he wants to go with me. What should i say to him? I've been thinking:

i was just minding my own business here at work trying to get to the residents dining room and next thing i know i saw this snake on the wall so i stood there trying to let him pass on the corner i was there for like 5 minutes and the other station saw me with the snake ..... 15 minutes after that.... i saw the same snake on my lunch brake......... and again 5 mintues on my lunch break i saw the snake again next thing i know 2 people are coming up to me letting me know t hat i should be careful one tells me that i have enemies and i should watch my back... but anyway has anyone here been in this kind of situation and is there any truth to it ???

Ok, so each party apparently has three top-tier candidates at this point, and I have problems with all six of them.

Clinton: Too left and scary for me
Obama: A one term senator? C'mon... how can he be commander-in-chief?
Edwards: Somehow, I don't see this guys having the testicles to go after terrorists

McCain: Open mouth, insert foot... and I can't get over the what he did to his invalid wife and family.
Guiliani: Also lacks moral fiber, and only has mayoral-level experience... how can he be commander-in-chief?
Romney: A one term-governor? C'mon. Sure he has the business acumen, but how can he be commander-in-chief?

So, who do you like? and why should I vote for him/her? Is there somebody else you'd rather see announce a bid soon?

I am currently working out to try and lose my stomach fat. I haven't worked out in a while and i got love handles now for a some what skinny guy. I am 5'8 and weight about 150. I recently started running in place for about 20 minutes a day does this help lose it? I also do some lifting with my barbells that weight about 10 pounds each. I got this sit up machine that u fold and then u lay on it and go up and down. Are the exercise I am doing going to work and help me lose my love handles and my weight? If not please help me and tell me what I should do. I want to get fit by the summer so how much should i do per day? what foods should i keep off and what foods should i start putting in my body? Please Help ! Thanks!
