I am of the belief that our nation must rid itself of affirmative action. We must progress not through special treatment but by the very talent and willingness to endure to achieve in our society. We cannot give free rides to those who are not on par with others. If you want something then fight for it. Don't expect that what you desire shall be handed to you. Our nation was founded by doers, so to must we go forth and do. Learn the skill you'll need to achieve greatness. Take the time to study and not simply watch tv or listen to music. In short, step up to the plate and get to it! Achievements don't happen by themselves...

OK, I have a computer at work that sucks and without the Admin. permissions I can't fix it.
My question is, if I hook up a USB hardrive with a OS on it, can I pull the shortcuts of the work PC hard drive and use it. I need programs that are installed on my work PC to log into my phone etc.

THANKS

A friend of mine has withdrew from a couple classes twice in the past two semesters, he will be repeating the classes for the third time this coming fall. The classes were College Trigonometry and Chemistry 101. He needs both of these for his major, electrical engineering. However, he feels like he'll never become an electrical engineer and that he should just drop out of college because he didn't do the way he wanted his first couple semesters of college. Should he drop out of college, or can he still become an electrical engineer? He's in a community college and hopes to transfer to a major university, his GPA is 3.85. Please help!

Here: (the whole story is gonna be really long, so i just want to know if its written alright so far.)

The large, white Delta plane soared in the sky. Obeying the pilots’ hands, it turned slowly to begin facing the final destination. Eyes closed on the plane as it sluggishly approached the landing spot. BOOM! The plane’s tiny wheels hit the cement ground. It zoomed down the slab of concrete. Men in bright yellow-green suits directed the plane with vivid, orange cones.
By then, the plane ran slow as it approached the terminal. “You may now unfasten your seatbelts,” the young stewardess sounded on the speakers.
“Thank God!” exclaimed 15 year old Jen Forman. She unfastened her plain, gray seatbelt and grabbed her black backpack. “I feel sick.”
“Don’t worry, you’ll feel better,” her dad, Dallas, soothed.
“You’re not the only one…” Seth, her 17 year old brother, trailed off. He leaned over and put one of his hands over his stomach.
“Here,” Dallas said as he grabbed a Tums pack from his navy blue backpack. “Take two of ‘em.”
Seth nodded, stuck two pale red tablets in his mouth, and began chewing them. He handed the Tums pack to Jen. “Thanks,” she said. She did the same and handed the pack back to Dallas. He shoved them back in his bag.
“Please check to make sure that you’ve grabbed all of your personal belongings,” the speakers sounded again. It added, “Thank you for flying with Delta.”
“You kids got everything?” questioned Dallas.
“Yep,” answered Seth as Jen nodded.

Because I said that 9/11 isn't the worst thing thats ever happened!

It's not - want about Rwanda in 1994 - 1million men and boys were killed and the women are dying to this day because the soldiers raped them and gave them AIDS - this is more atrocious that the twin towers falling down.

9/11 was a tragedy - but why are those American people's lives more valuable than anyone else's?

Then, how do you explain VESTIGIAL ORGANS?

The VERMIFORM APPENDIX is a vestige of the cecum, an organ that may have been used to digest cellulose by humans' herbivorous ancestors.[citation needed] Analogous organs in other animals similar to humans continue to perform that function, whereas other meat-eating animals may have similarly diminished appendices. The modern functionality of the appendix is still controversial in the field of human physiology, although most scientists and physicians believe that it has little or no function.....

The COCCIX, or tailbone, is the remnant of a lost tail. All mammals have a tail at one point in their development; in humans, it is present for a short time during embryonic development. The tailbone, located at the end of the spine, has lost its original function in assisting balance and mobility, though it still serves some secondary functions, such as being an attachment point for muscles, which explains why it has not degraded further.
