in order to retain their tax exempt status, why are so many Christians convinced that this is a Christian Nation?

I think the Pastors/Priests are crossing the line in their sermons. If this is so, they need to have their tax exempt status revoked. This is the law of the land and if they cannot respect it, then they should pay the consequences AND the taxes.

Someone please explain to me how is the melting of the polar ice caps going to raise the sea level?

I can't really believe all this hype about the sea level rising 60ft. First off there is not that much ice in the polar regions on this planet and secondly, Ice is less dense than water, and occupied more space than water. So if the ice caps melted, then the sea level should actually lower. Do you see where I'm going with this.

Here's a fun activity you can try at home. Get a glass of water and fill it up with water, and ice. Mark the tip top point of where the ice has reached on the glass, and then let all the ice melt. Chances are the level of water didn't do anything.

You're probably going to say something about, it doesn't change much on a small scale. Well I'm saying it's not going to change much on a large scale. But if someone can explain how the water will raise over 25 feet please explain.

I was in class the other day and of course the topic was about Israel wars.
One of the discussions was about when Nixon deployed a large mass of Artillery and weapons for Israel to use at that time.

A certain gentleman spoke up and said, They didn't really have to even use the Artillery and weapons, Because before israel got there to fight their enemies had up and left. Why? Because they heard a massive sound of what sounded like a nation of Bees/insects and they fled the scene.

Is this true or even near true? If so could you give me a link to a website that would the information on it.

It was just after lunch and he did this human lie detector thing on me and he asked me if i liked his friend and all i could d was stare and laugh at him and he said that means i like him. i denied it but he insisted that i did. lucky for me the guy i like was not around. Ok so right now i am freaking thinking this guy is going to tell his friend that i like him. so naturally i went to my friend for help and as i was telling her he over heard me say that i really did like him and i was so mad i almost kicked him in the balls. then he said he promised he would not tell people that i liked him anymore. but how can i be sure he will keep the secret.

I Have been married for almost 10 years, for all the time, my husband has been bad with me, always telling me that I was not pretty, always putting me down, including other members of my family. He has said that I am smart, and that he is with me for that reason, but that he always had very pretty girlfriends before me. And of course ha has always said that he is not happy with me. We have two beautiful children 3 and 8. At first it was very hard, I use to cry any time he would insult me, because it just hurt, but since about two years ago, I don't really care about his insults, they don't have any effect on me, he has notice that, specially when I told him that I am sorry that he is not happy, and that he should go and find his happiness somewhere else. I don't want to have intimate relationships anymore with him, I can't, I even feel abused in that way. Sex now feels like sexual abuse. We are getting counseling but things don't change, about the way I feel. He, seems worry now

I have a ceiling fan with an outlet on the wall for on and off. however when in the ON position the lights no longer come on because the pull chain does not do anything but hang there now. Any idea on how to get the chain back to making the lights come back on? Fan works fine still can control that side of the service, but the lights chain does nothing at all now. Help please.

I know they come from the Old Testament but they are universal values that most people teach their children. Only Atheists would not like the first commandment, but if you don't believe in God what difference would the first one make to you. All in all I think the 10 commandments should be embraced. It is nice to have some of these things in our courthouses etc. We will never be able to replace it in this day and age because everyone is so open minded they stand for everything and nothing , so no decision ever gets made. What do you think?
