My 12 year old daughter is using nair for her legs and it is just fine but when she uses it for her under arms in grows in within about 2 days. Is that normal. She gets really imbaressed by it sometimes and doesn't want to put her hands up. Is that normal?

Hair usually does grow back under the arms faster than on the legs because it is denser. As an adult you usually shave every day so I would think this perfectly normal. I would consider carefully teaching her to shave, though. i wouldn't be too certain about using Nair daily.

Armpit hair grows back more than 50% faster than the rest of your body hair. So, yea. It's perfectly normal. Why don't you let her start shaving her armpits? If she wants to use Nair for her legs, that's great. But if she shaves her armpits she can do it everyday and not deal with leaving the lotion on for however many minutes.

The MORE she removes underarm hair the MORE it will grow in thicker and FULLER! I thought everybody knew this??
Nair is NOT safe for kids! It can cause serious burning and damage....didnt you know this???.....not to mention it smells like roadkill.....she should not use Nair under her arms. The bottle says you can also use it for "other" hair but that can cause the most serious BURNS and RASHES known to man!!! Why do you let her use it and why doesnt she just shave like everybody else??? .....Nair is one of the most UNsafe haior removal products on the market...believe it or not....Also Im not trying to knock your parental skils but you have to be cautious! You HAVE to be! Okay? Good luck hon.

Yes.
If she shaves, however,it won't be as frequent.
I'm 13, I used nair from
the ages 11-12.Trust me,
you don't want to be in the 6th/7th
grade with hairy legs or arm pits. It's kind of gross.

It's alright.
I used it when i was 11 years, but i had to stop cause it made me break out and itch.
If it's not causing any rashes, then let her continue using it. But about the under arm hairs? I have to shave my armpits every single day, cause my hair grows really fast. It's perfectly normal though!

I'm 37 years old and in about 2 days all the shaved parts have started to get very very stubbly. Always has and I've been shaving since I was 10. I opt for shaving simply because my hair is so coarse. None the less, whats normal for one person in hair growth may or may not be normal for another. As far as I'm concerned her hair growth seems normal to me.

Personally I have found underarm hair growns back faster regardless (I shave). She can try using a lotion containg soy. They help hair grow back more slowly and finer so they are less noticible. It does take a while but it work.

The best removal method would be waxing. Hurt like hell for a minute but those suckers don't grow for a weeks.

I do not think it is for the under arms area. That area is very course, not like leg hair. That is probably why it isnt working
