Okay, even if you have not kept up with the entire story. my wife of 18 years has just told me she does not want to be married, nor does she ever want to be with another man...EVER. that includes me...It would be imposible to give you all the details here, a short version I will try.

The fighting has all been about money...I took it all away.

I go to find out that her psychiatrist told her that in doing that, that I had taken the role of my wifes dad, and that my wife now feels I have fallen into the role of her dad. Now, he has helped her rememberd every little detail that my wife had experianced about her dad raping her. Ultimatey, it may end our marraige

OK...I'm confused.wouldn't his role to be to help her cope with the child abuse and get on with her life? not help her remember something so horrific? he has also refused to concill us together, claiming "conflict of interest."

My wife is lifeless...there is not a stitch of passion. Would U want to remeber? OR FORGET?

my system has 4 hard drives (not the same but all 40G or larger), 2 ATA ports and 2 ATA RAID ports.

One drive is having a problem. It is the only drive on one port and set as master. No configuration for single on the drive. It will transfer small files but hangs on large transfers.
I deleted the partitions with Partition Magic and tried to reformat. Nothing will reformat it, it just hangs. HHD utility says xfer rate is about 1mb/sec. all others are around 24mb/sec.
Tried SPINRITE - but runs at 1mb/sec so I canceled it.
tried Seagate utility. same thing.
Is drive toast or is there something that will fix this????

It's pretty complicated, but just trust me...
I think I hurt my mom's feelings this morning, by not going to church... That in itself is a complicated issue, that I don't really want to talk about right now, but I think it made her sad, even though she didn't even ask me to go. We actually sort of celibrated Mother's Day yesterday, because someone invited her and my dad to an Aniversary party today, but I still feel guilty. I want to make it up to her... any ideas?

Some wisdom that you guys considering to get married have to have in mind.

For you that are already married, I assume you did the right thing. I was happy. My girlfriend and me were dating for over a year, and so we decided to get married. My parents helped us in every way, my friends encouraged me, and my girlfriend? She was a dream!

There was only one thing bothering me, quite much indeed, and that was my mother-in-law to be. She was a career woman, smart, but most of all beautiful and sexy, who sometimes flirted with me, quite obviously too, and made me feel uncomfortable. One day, she called me and asked me to come over, to check the invitations. So I went. She was alone, and when I arrived, she whispered to me, that soon I was to be married, and she had feelings and desires for me that she can't overcome. So before I get married and commit my life to her daughter, she wants to make love to me just once...

What could I say? I was in total shock, and couldn't say a word. So, she said, I'll go to the bedroom, and if you are up for it, just come and get me. I just watched her delicious behind as she went up the stairs. I stood there for a moment, and then turned around and went to the front door... I opened it, and stepped out of the house.

Her husband was standing outside, and with tears in his eyes, hugged me and said, 'we are very happy and pleased, you have passed our little test. We couldn't have asked for a better man for our daughter. Welcome to the family!'

Lesson learned: Always keep your condoms in your car.

I do not believe all Christians or all atheists are good or bad people, however, it is apparent to me that when Christians are nasty* (whether it be calling non-Christians names here or people like the Phelps family) it should be Christians who deal with them.
I honestly believe that if you are a Christian, and you watch a Christian be nasty to people and you DO NOTHING you are allowing the nasty Christians to dictate what the word Christian means. If you're okay with that, do nothing.
Several times a day, Christians post questions asking why people seem to hate them, and here's why-the nasty people using Christianity are pretty much unopposed.
Why don't Christians seem willing to police their own?



*Not all Christians are.

For me it was about 3 years ago and in The Office where Brent is telling the other one how to be thick skinned and take eveything with a pinch of salt. They do some role playin in Brent's office and Brent ends up going out to the main office and confronting everyone about the nicknames they've called him... well it was funny at the time anyway.

He constantly tells me how great I am with our 5 month old son. We got into a fight last week in which he said some hurtful things to me. He would not even spend the weekend with me, and decided to go out with his friends last night instead of spend time with me on my first mothers day. This isn't about war in general, this is about the war we are mixed up in right now! This isn't about human nature, this isn't about humans being unable to stop being a$$holes! This is about POLITICS!

WHY can't we STOP the war if we want it to stop?

This isn't about terrorism, this is about escalation and revenge! This is about killing and killing in retribution!! This is about being killed because of something someone else has done to someone else!

This was isn't about security! Its about INSECURITY!!!!

If we don't stop killing all of them because of what "some of them" did to us... they'll never stop coming.

I know I won't lay down when someone guns down my son, or daughter, or my husband, or mother because they were in the wrong place.

If we don't change what we're doing.... we're going to lose so much more than we think we already have. The thing is we don't know how much we've already lost. We don't even understand the damage we've already done to loved ones over there
